      @TheFanRookie We should have seen this coming. Dan Morgan traded away a lot of last year's defense to revamp the pitiful offense. And I'd say they've kinda done that. Now it's the defense's turn to get some love this off-season. Perfect opportunity once again for Dan Morgan to search for those dawgs that he was talking about. This time for the defense. I believe he'll pick the right ones given that he was a defensive dawg himself. It's cool to get a response from you btw. I listen to you and Tim every week.

      CMC is done. The two years he gave SF wouldn't have helped Carolina at all. It was a good call to trade him.
      They got good compensation for him, they just didn't do anything with it. A 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and a 5th should have landed at least one key piece to build around but they just flushed all those picks down the toilet.

    1) Bryce has to play like he belongs in the NFL. No excuses. Body of work is not good enough to have back to back poor games.

    It's very true that we lack playmakers, but we are building a foundation. In the past we had playmakers but no foundation. I believe we're setting the table to 1.) Build up playmakers & 2.) Make the team more appealing to bring in playmakers via free agency. It takes time but as long as we can keep core players and find a better defensive scheme (Personally I'm praying they can talk Luke Kuechly into being part of the staff) we'll be a serious contender next season. 🤞🏾

I’m hoping we let Evero go elsewhere and can get a proven D coordinator who goes BACK to a 4-3 base… i miss the old days honestly. Dan Morgan needs to take a hard look at Evero before they commit to drafting for his scheme. If you think the scheme is part of the problem on defense he needs to go because you can not commit resources to a 3-4 scheme and then turn around and fire him a year too late.

    • @WerdUp13
      @WerdUp13 7 днів тому

      You can just move players around if you switch to a 4-3. It isn't a big deal. Bill B said it best when he said 3-4 vs 4-3 doesn't matter because you're rarely in your base defense in the modern NFL.
      This defensive depth chart is so awful you could draft every single position on defense and they have a chance to be the starter.

      Panthers weapons analytics are a little skewed b/c of the immense amount of prevent defense they faced in blowouts through out this season.
      Inflating Separation tends to happen when the defense is playing 10 yards off the ball late in games.

    • @kevykev388
      @kevykev388 10 днів тому +1

      His work is overshadowed because of the "eye test". People see him draw a flag or get burned one time and pretend it happened the entire game. Panthers have zero pass rush so it makes him have to work twice as hard as he should. Statistically he's one of the best despite what people think they're looking at

    • @SLBezletron
      @SLBezletron 10 днів тому

      @ well, people get behind him because we have no pass rush to help out the coverages. He’s 8th in the league in PBUs, 2nd in his position in sacks, I mean he by himself has 25 defensive stops, which is 6th at his position. Now his yards per comp allowed and passer rating allowed are both very average but again, those are both stats that are scewed with a l ack of pass rush.

I didn't say he was a game changer per say.. as far as athleticism and arm talent. But CAN be more like Brady... Getting into the right plays, pre/post snap coverage reads, throwing to the right guy, anticipation and ball placement. This is what made Brady great, along with solid defense and playmakers.
