Unfortunately the law isn't as cut and dry and I see more differences than similarities in Baker v GA and this trial. I think the Judge is going to take a chance and keep his ruling and allow the Appeals court resolve any issues. That's because I saw the Judge leaning on more interpretation from the State's presentation.

You're going to have a hard time understanding this type of music if you haven't personally been through some of the struggles yourself
You're also going to have a hard time even understanding if you have a deep down stereotypical way of thinking about the culture as a whole.
And yes the majority of rap music does carry a story, a story of struggle and trying to pull themselves out of that, that's what makes rap music so unique..
The hard part is looking past the outer shell of the person doing the rapping... There's a great deal of people who can't even look past the skin color, now imagine going through life where the majority can't even get past the way you look so they automatically go in a different direction. Instead of checking your credentials and actually getting to know you as a person.
