One of the greatest pure and GIGANTICALLY CLUTCH shooters of the 90's. And was always one of MJ's favorite players. Because MJ knew he could count on him. Cars.
If you watched this series, you'd understand how difficult it was as a guard especially, to play against the Bulls. Byron Scott was a good player and would be an above average guard today - yet against this team, he simply could not get a good shot at the basket - they shut his ass down. And when he did finally get a couple, he couldn't make them. The inability to get to the basket by a perimeter player is devastating to the outside game and he was just overmatched defensively. I'd love to see today's perimeter players playing in this environment where the fancy handle won't work with carries called and physical defenders grabbing and pushing you. This was a different type of game entirely with guys in the middle that often played with a "no lay ups" policy - and if you tried to get there, boom-shacka-lacka. This was much more exciting basketball.
Funny how people say nobody acknowledged the team effort, that Jordan didn't do it all him self. The question before he won a Championship was, "can the best NBA player and scorer let the rest of the team play and fill in their roles so that the team can win the Championship?" Everyone then and now (contary to what Lebron worshippers say) acknowledged a team performance. They knew he was the greatest player, a phenomenon, but they would need decent players around him to contribute their part, and they did. Pippen was the only future HOF'er. The rest were average all around players, at best. How classy Jordan was though to publicly always give them credit, and never publicly blame them, or say things were their fault. A far cry from Lebron's behavior.
Jesus Flores - thank you Jesus. I'm old enough to have watched his entire career and it's frustrating to listen to all of the revisionist history - and the young people who have bought in to the bullshit propaganda by media and Lebron worshippers. MJ was incredible and a team player - but they did it in a different way in the Triangle. Chicago, especially this first three-peat team was hardly a super team and Pippen wasn't even an Allstar yet in '91. Having seen the guys then and now, MJ is clearly the greatest and simply far ahead of the others, even LBJ - in pretty much every single way. He may not have played the point but I'd take him even as a ball handler over anybody - he could simply do things nobody else could dream of, including incredible passes. If he played, he would destroy today's NBA and that is no exaggeration. This guy was on another level.
Nice nod to the Bulls of the 70's. Magic showed class by congratulating the players and coaches on the court and in the tunnel. He even showed up later on and shook hands with the Bulls in their locker room.
I don't get it, for an NBA Finals home game, why didn't the Lakers wear their custom white uniforms and why did the Bulls wear their alternate red road uniforms instead of the custom black uniforms w/ sleeves?
+ECWnWWF Lakers wearing white is a recent thing, and they only wear it on Sunday home games. It wasn't until the mid 90's that teams started utilizing a third alternate jersey. The sleeved ones are even more recent...like 2-3 years ago, haha.
No title is EVER easy. And last year's was no exception. But MJ's first wasn't either. And remember, if the defensive rules were than what they are now, Jordan would have regularly scored 50 per game. The haters will hate. No one should on either, but LeBron is not yet even on the same PAGE as Jordan, let alone in the same paragraph or sentence. Not yet. Not close. Cars.
Woooow congratulations Chicago Bull's MJ EXCELLENT,.. we love you ALL guys Chicago Bull's,....👏👏👏👏👏👏🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀👊👊👊👊👊👊❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝👍👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪

He's just a die-hard fan of the Lakers.
i came here to see john paxson highlights
Also, I think the one on UA-cam with Paxton highlights is under the Pippen33 banner. Cars.

back in the day...the lakers wore purple & gold at home

What is the name of the song in the begining?
What's that move called at 8:22
funny how some people says this was after Magic's prime... Wasn't he only like 31-32?
dwade's prime was a long time ago and hes only 32 years old. Some players have earlier primes.
Imagine if mj hadnt retired after first 3 peat. He just came off finals averagin 40ppg.
i know.... wasn't that only his 11th season or something?
Notice no James worthy or Byron scott n ppl say Lebron first title was easy, wat a joke
