The prof has a lot of information on what need to be done in an effort to liberate the continent of Africa, but the information is drummed on deaf ears, judging by the appearances in this meeting, some of the so called leaders are asleep, others are seriously glued on their cell phones, very view are following the words of the professor, and we are expecting change, this are the same leaders who continually receive instructions from their god fathers in europe and america never to allow meaningful development in the continent of Africa, and to continue oppressing their kins who leave in poverty. 60 yrs after independence and many African countries cant provide basic necessities to their citizen, its absurd.

You are 100% correct in your observation of this meeting my brother. Only a few of these people came to learn of real wisdom by our prof. They look like students who dont want to learn anything. They get salaries from their governments, and know nothing of slavery of the mind. Magufuli (R.I.P) was a leader. Thats why he didnt jump when money people clicked their fingers. He served his people first. Most African governments flap their gums, and claim to be pan-african, but stay silent when a brother or sister country needs mediation to help. These governments have followers.... not leaders. AU must be banned from accepting donations and rules from ALL external influences (the west and east). AU needs a real lion or lioness to head the organisation. Same with the pan-african parliament. One Africa One People One flag One language One currency.

While this commenter could understand Prof. Lumumba's frustration with respect to the victory of the Monrovia Group over the Casablanca Group at the inaugural conference of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), he could hardly help thinking that the “ALL OR NOTHING” approach which was advocated by President Kwame Nkrumah, and which the professor apparently espouses, would be just as self-defeating in any present or future attempt at achieving AFRICAN UNITY as it was at the conference in 1963. A case in point is that of the United States, and also of Canada. Firstly, only 13 of the American colonies had taken the initial step to sever their colonial relationship with Britain and declare their independence in 1776. By 1787, the number of states had increased to 39, and today the territory called the United States of America comprises all 48 states south of the 49th. parallel, in addition to Alaska and Hawaii, for a total of 50 states. A similar kind of dynamics also developed in the case of the Canadian Confederation. In 1867, only four provinces agreed to come together to form the country that is now called Canada. As the Canadian historian P.B. Waite records, Canada developed “IN FITS AND STARTS” and having gone through numerous territorial changes and expansions, Canada now comprises ten provinces and three territories. Accordingly, while THE GRADUALIST APPROACH to AFRICAN UNITY did not yield the result that the 28 delegates and Professor Lumumba would have desired, it might be proffered that there must have been “more in the mortar than the pestle”. Even so, it could never be too late for the AFRICAN People to take a page from the history of our American and Canadian counterparts and realize that compromise will always be an essential element in any effort at achieving a UNITED AFRICAN POLITY. Such was the position encouraged by His Imperial Majesty (HIM) Emperor Haile Selassie I. Thus, the difficulty or impossibility that Prof. Lumumba is experiencing in reconciling his differences with HIM and with the policy of GRADUALISM clearly illustrates why today’s AFRICAN leaders are still unable to do as the Americans and Canadians and make that first meaningful step in the existentially necessary journey to AFRICAN UNITY. And so, the time is long overdue for African leaders to be called out to openly state exactly where they stand with respect to AFRICAN UNITY and the future of our children and grandchildren. Some will be more transparent than others, and others will even request time to hold referenda. But here again, we should let it be known that just as the attendees at the Berlin Conference, and the delegates at the American and Canadian conferences did not require any referendum to make their first move, the march to AFRICAN UNITY would not be hindered by such kinds of stalling tactics, or even by the pipe dream of AGENDA 2063.

African countries think and make right and best suited ideas and decisions n not listen to leaders who have no wisdom to govern, the world needs not one head but many heads to reason together, praising a leader with his own self interest means you all will drown by the same captain who should save the ship

I recently learned of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus song: "A Message From The Gay Community (2021) on UA-cam. What a shock!
If, our hero, the younger South African guy (Malema) wears a gay flag in public AND supports gay activities, HOW is he going to support the positive moral values of OUR ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD and the African countries and diaspora?
Does the Professor Lumumba know about his allegiance to the alphabet groups? The professor was AGAINST forcing negative western gay cultural values on the motherland.
Hard to believe that Malema has crossed over to the opposite of OUR ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD'S values.
Has Malema been threatened, BOUGHT OUT or blackmailed?
Does he have children to protect?
