Its kind of what I do, especially when a good song comes on and I just have to dance. The video doesn't play the music I was actually dancing to (do to copyright rules I guess) and I thought someone would get up and dance with me...but they were all just happy to sit and watch.
Heck I would've danced with you Terry. Music makes want to dance too. Maybe we'll catch up out there on the road soon. I'm still hunting for my perfect setup.
Terry you seem like such a nice guy. That was so nice of you to do so much for everyone, along with Jamie, at the van build. You both did. Jamie I hope you're still doing this by the time I'm able to get there...SEE YOU SOON! ☺✋💟👍📱
Oh boy I relate to that restless spirit, It is hard for me to stay put too long even when I love the place I am at, I just need a regular change of scenery.
I think so, I got from my mother's side my dad will travel when someone plans it all out and will enjoy it when they do, but he stays put less than 5 miles from where he was born and if no one plans him a trip he would never go anywhere. lol Needless to say I am a mystery to him.
I just watched you and J doing the solar install. Wow, you two worked as off you've known each other for years, great team skills. Well done to you both.
Terry is a smart mature traveller....says common sense stuffs and really lay mans easy to understand straight forward facts. Great interview, good man, all round feel good stuff.
As a guy who's considering the nomad life, I find this interview most insightful and inspirational. Thanks ever so much for posting. Hope to see y'all at the RTR in January, 2018.
wow terry really is a rock star. so good of him to help out so much during your event. i'm wondering if the feed tube to his fuel tank for his generator could be a diy type of project or something better suited for a professional to handle. seems like a handy convenience to have.
What a great teacher you are. I learned so much from this...looking for more. Could you share of you decide to build something out from scratch...bet you would do some really sweet stuff with it. Thanks
Love the idea of a barn or home base. I've got 40 acres plus 250 acres attached with family in Arkansas and want to put a bldg. on it. That way traveling east or west makes the home base a great pit stop. Would love to visit S.A. sometime too.
navy shower is what we used to do when we had well water and it hadn't rained in a while. i never called it that but it was the same. you wet down real quick and you turn that precious water off until time to rinse! we had 4 families on one well. praise the lord for city water we got around 1998 lol
Great video Jamie!! Great to see Terry again! He was a lot of fun to talk to during the van build. And the guy has some moves!! LOL. Hope to see you guys in Quartzite next month!! Amanda & Stephen
Shanna, actually I normally leave my cargo trailer in storage and just tow the car, but with the van build meet-up I wanted to bring along more tools and the cargo trailer came in handy for the project. There were several folks using it to store materials while waiting for their job to start. I do want to downsize in the future. Tks...Terry
hi. I've enjoyed watching a few videos, so many people I can relate to and I can't wait to meet you on the road. I am getting close to finishing my build which is an 82 Prevost that I bought stripped and I've put everything together, every single thing. I can't wait to start driving. thanks
I can hardly wait till I get to join in on all the fun. Not sure if I'll customize an enclosed cargo trailer or have something built similar to Lou's, but more with the look of a Shepherd's Hut. Looking forward to seeing what you learn in school and your future build.
Thanks Bonnie, you can do anything you want. Each one will fit different needs. Start out small and simple. Bob Wells van is very simple and he has been Van living for 15 years.
Great video..I am headed to the 2017 Van Build in about 10 days..Gotta change my oil and do front brakes on my SUV first. See ya all in Havasu soon. So looking forward to it..Love this Lifestyle.
Great interview, Jamie. Terry is an interesting guy and smooth on the dance floor. I've lived overseas (Australia) myself and completely understand Terry's 'itchy foot'.
That's awesome...it's great hearing from straight talking guys. He's got quite the rig set up--going in style while he figures out his next move. But Jaime I have an addition to your interview agreement form...no on-air fingernail clipping!
pretty cool. I was thinking about the uhaul build as well. However after watching Fred discuss his trailer and reasoning I'm considering going that way. Not stealthy, but works and still let's you do the rv parks which I believe prohibits the box trucks that uhaul uses.
Wow! I have dance envy, van envy and solar envy! Been plotting and planning van living for a couple of years before I got it together to go for it. Not unlike, the average "NOMAD" I joined the "club" out or necessity more than choice. To be honest, this lifestyle turned out to be, more than, just good, not bad or just okay! I love van living. For some, RV, Car'v , SUV'v or Tent'v, whatever! It is a great life, just gotta get whatever rig you have fitted to work for you. I bought a transit cargo van, after selling my house, SUV and tow behind RV trailer. Thank you Jamie and other You Tuber's for sharing your knowledge. I learned that a van would work best for me and my dog. This year , "2020" has been a challenge for all of us. I don't have a shop. I do have, a great imagination, ability to improvise and strong will to survive. What I don' t have is a set of "social skills". Most of the time, I am a loner, but not alone. My loyal, friend, constant companion, best buddy ole pal, is always at my side. He never, ever forgets me. I might take a turn he didn't anticipate. With out a doubt, he will catch up and be right where I need him, before I could ever know I would need him. Sorry for the "Ramble" . I have TBI and tend to go, on! Wow! South of the Canadian Border might be doable?? I live by the rules. Try my best to play fair.
Nice Setup Terry. Very Interesting to hear about. 12v and propane refrigerator. Im just getting geared up to (hopefully) head out to the rtr. Im a female Minister (non denominational) and and artist. My hopes are to run a remote buisness. I want to keep things small as possible for ease of movement... and cost of fuel. Im finding...small isn't exactly better...because in a lot of rv camps...they want you to have an rv. I have a subaru outback. I have seperate tents I set up for 1. kitchen. 2. Ladies Room. 3. Living area for working and visiting/lounging. I agree...I have seen some vans that are just right...there was one that is a converted disabled bus...which in terms of sq foot is about the size of a Uhaul van. Time will tell which way I go with it. Personally I don't want to look like a traveling gypsy... but that may change for awhile if I find the perfect conversion. I will have to start a Channel called Gypsy Christian and embrace my fears. HA! God Bless.
so much great useful and helpful information so thank you. A used UHaul truck seems like good advice too. I bought a used mercedes suv to try this lifestyle in as you can tow a travel trailer with it if you want more living space you can also tow a travel trailer if you have a minivan or fullsize VAN too. thanks for all the good advice.
neat guy. my biggest issues with what RVs are on the market today, they stamp them out as one-size-fits-all and I don't like that. I'd rather build my own.
I came to visit my daughter and she needs me in Alabama for a while. So I'm being "mom" and it's my favorite job :) so Arizona is on hold for a while. The joys of living on wheels... and lucky me, everything I own is in my van. No storage unit, no stuff at anyone's house. I have 3 storage bins of stuff and a bag of clothes. Practicing minimalism daily, lol. Thank goodness, cuz I have no cabinets in here... next van build party... I'm hoping to be there. My fantastic fan is under my bed, hahaha... what a mess
hehee dancing at the end man hes going through some vehicles lol jamie you need to pan out so people can see further away lokk at the inside of rigs its hard to see the inside when your up to close and see whole set ups :) love the videos though thanks
Informative and Fun video - thank you. I've seen Terry on a few other channels. Does anyone know. - does he have a channel himself? Any recent videos? Curious if he's moved on to a van as he seems more like a van guy.
Retired at 53... he's my hero... what a champ!
Terry has some moves. Way to go Terry. Keep dancing like nobody's watching. Love it :-)
Its kind of what I do, especially when a good song comes on and I just have to dance. The video doesn't play the music I was actually dancing to (do to copyright rules I guess) and I thought someone would get up and dance with me...but they were all just happy to sit and watch.

Great intro! Love a man not ashamed to dance. And quite well also!
Oh boy I relate to that restless spirit, It is hard for me to stay put too long even when I love the place I am at, I just need a regular change of scenery.
Its in our blood huh....

Well done to you both.

wow terry really is a rock star. so good of him to help out so much during your event. i'm wondering if the feed tube to his fuel tank for his generator could be a diy type of project or something better suited for a professional to handle. seems like a handy convenience to have.
They come stock that way. I didn't do any mods to my generator...
Terry has great moves, I love it! Good to catch up with you Jamie, Keep the videos coming. Peace bro.
Great video/interview. Gettin' your grove on after the work is done. Great community of people and support.

What a wonderful thing for you to do, Terry! Happy you got to be there and help all those people!!
Love the idea of a barn or home base. I've got 40 acres plus 250 acres attached with family in Arkansas and want to put a bldg. on it. That way traveling east or west makes the home base a great pit stop. Would love to visit S.A. sometime too.

Terry's got the moves! Let's dance!!
Good one, extra points for the dance.
navy shower is what we used to do when we had well water and it hadn't rained in a while. i never called it that but it was the same. you wet down real quick and you turn that precious water off until time to rinse! we had 4 families on one well. praise the lord for city water we got around 1998 lol

I sure could use Terry here! I bought a school bus the other day and I cant get the seats bolts to come out! It needs a lot of work!

The u haul also has an industrial engine. It’s much better built than the standard v-8
Informative and Fun video - thank you. I've seen Terry on a few other channels. Does anyone know. - does he have a channel himself? Any recent videos? Curious if he's moved on to a van as he seems more like a van guy.
Hi great video. But I didn't catch the uhaul van build website. I thought you said Dream Side Out? Can you link it please? Thanks
One of my favorite UA-camrs Adam The Woo just got an RV. He will be touring the USA doing his Vlogs. Maybe you guys will connect sometime.
