The Holy Spirit actually showed me that the female demon is indeed trapped in the man's body looking through his eyes at other men and vice versa with the male demons, and my daughter told me she actually knew their names, incubus and succubus. A couple thoughts. “When you no longer have metaphysics all you have is politics.” i may be off on the meaning of metaphysics, but i see the Left’s insistence on their view of the transgender experience as a kind of inverse Eucharist. In my understanding of transubstantiation the substance (would it be wrong to also think of it as the essence?) of the host is changed from bread to Our Lord’s body, while the appearance (accidents) remains unchanged. Transgenderism theorizes that the inner essence or substance of the person is opposite what the God given physical appearances indicate, and so seek to change the appearance. Who is it that would most seek to invert Christian sacraments? The Eucharist has become Christ’s Body given up for others, for “the life of the world,” transgenderism has the body given up for only the life of the ‘self.’ Satan’s “you will be as gods” comes to my mind, with an inversion of the central Christian sacramental mystery, completely self-directed. Similar to abortion, often called their secular sacrament, “my body -given up for me.” In Cleveland (and I’m guessing other places) a few years back, a pro-abortion group had billboards, with a ‘fill in the blank’ statement. And I believe that the trans guest understands that but was trying to trip Matt up by touting small percentages of exceptions and Matt wasn't falling for it. For what it's worth though, it does allow other people to use that to say he didn't have a response. To us who have seen him talk more, I know that he doesn't like to get "lost in the weeds" when debating. He knew what that guy was trying to do. We must speak the Truth to them because to condone a wrong act is not helping the person but rather leading him further astray. I saw Matt speak at St Catherine’s in Kennesaw, Ga right before the pandemic started. It was an awesome talk on his book about the Church. Thank God for him.
Matt Walsh has really grown on me. He really has. At first I didn’t like his delivery. I didn’t like him at all. But now I just really love it. He’s great. I like him and Ben Shapiro.
He can be a little blunt, but I can definitely see why that approach is sometimes needed. His appearance on Dr. Phil was great, and his commentary on the New York Magazine cover they briefly talk about here was amazing.

@@ntmn8444 Ben Shapiro is more educated than Matt Walsh, but I think that Matt is smarter. Ben uses a lot of platitudes in his arguments and he is trapped in his libertarian ideology. Matt on the other hand uses logic and common sense in his arguments, which make them sound like platitudes on a first glance, but they're more substantial than Ben's arguments. Also, Matt isn't afraid to ignore and "deconstruct" the leftist dogma, while Ben still plays according to their rules.
I'm converting to Catholicism, and in one of my RCIA classes before Christmas our priest was briefly talking about transgenderism and how we need to protect women and things like that (I was so happy to hear him actually speaking up about this issue instead of being too scared to address it), and once he left the room the Deacon (who actually leads our RCIA group) said that he was a bit shocked that Fr seemed to be against the whole transgender thing, and went on a ramble about how Pope Francis says gender is actually a spectrum and the Catholic belief no longer conforms to traditional, binary male-female behaviours (I think it's because I'm young so he assumes I'm a progressive liberal). I was shocked! I'm digressing a bit but I would like to leave my parish once I'm baptised and confirmed (mainly because the priest doesn't offer communion, our deacon does it instead and he only does communion in the hand which I'm uncomfortable with and looks down on communion on the tongue) which is a shame because our parish priest is amazing and our community is very welcoming, it's just far too progressive for me. One elderly woman in our group (who is a cradle Catholic) has even said at times that priests should be allowed to marry and have children, women should be able to be ordained, and that homosexuality is okay because they're "born that way". Honestly my norvus ordo parish is turning me more into a traditionalist with every meeting. I worry for other potential catechumens being taught this stuff during their conversion process.
@@causeimdeep I don’t know what you read, but it looks like she has her head firmly on her shoulders. The rest of those people he mentioned should sit down with their priest and get reintroduced to the Catholic Church. Sex/gender is not a spectrum.

We grew up in the rural South as Christians (I’m a preachers kid) and I discovered the traditional Church on my study abroad trips to Greece, Rome, and Latin America. Now we are very happily Catholic, living in the boiling pot that is the Chicago Archdiocese, and I am a Catholic schoolteacher at a classical Chesterton school. Just wanted to introduce myself and also comment that, barring your intent, I think you made a mistake around 9:40 where you were talking about the linguistic jujitsu of postmodern critics of sex/gender. @@VizziMoto Yes, that's right. In contrast to synergism, where we must cooperate with grace. I'm having a hard time seeing how we can cooperate with grace. If God's grace needs our cooperation, then that would imply that it's ineffective on its own.
@@VizziMoto On the Church, yes I do believe it to be the one true Church, and I recognize the Petrine supremacy of Rome. I also believe in the Catholic understanding of baptism and the Eucharist. My main issue is with monergism and synergism. Both Paul seems to be more monergistic than synergistic, and Augustine seemed adamant about attributing any good in him to God alone, and any evil to himself.
Walsh is right about how a lot of this stems from narcissism. I’m a high school student and more than half (I’m not exaggerating) of the kids in my high school identify as something other than a straight male or female. While some of them are broken people with mental problems and past trauma, a lot of people just say they’re something else for the attention. It’s really sad. I should point out that I live in the Bible Belt. I can’t imagine what it’s like in places like California or New York. I think older generations don’t seem to realize how much things have changed since they were teenagers. That’s why they’re still pushing this stuff.

@@IONov990 When speaking about George Floyd, he usually points out the fact that he was a serial felon, violent abuser of women, and user of drugs (which resulted in his death). I certainly wouldn't want someone like that living in my community and would be happy to see them not around anymore.
What sets Matt apart is how he has no limitations or fear of the left. He gladly embraces these conversations like on Doctor Phil and also doesn't cower or look weak but just stands his ground and regardless of what the left says was the only respectable person talking that day and treated the others quite well without acting like a child and rolling eyes or interrupting. Matt’s point on narcissism at 7:05 is exactly right, and that’s exactly what I observe in those around me. It’s a social trend that people are conforming to. It’s not people demonstrating how interesting or important they truly are, but we know that’s what they think.
I heard a good lecture by Bishop Robert Barron called ideas have consequences. He mentioned some of the philosophical trends that go into leftism today. These include the philosophies of Marx, Nietzsche, Sartre and Foucault. What results is a very confused and unreflective mix of all of these. For example the idea that one can simply rewrite the self comes out of existentialism, the idea that existence precedes essence.

I am a 51 year old atheist. I grew up during what I call the heyday of evangelical excess in American culture. It is now 2022 and I have to listen to two Catholics to get a hint of rational discussion. The left of which I would have considered myself once a member has lost the plot. So here I am, an atheist listening to two theists because it's the best I can get today.
As a theist, I also enjoy listening to some atheists like those on the Podcast of the Lotus Eaters(I think all or almost all of the hosts/commentators are atheist), who are also very conservative to somewhat classical liberal (depending on the commentator). I usually go back and forth between Daily Wire (just about every host is religious) and Podcast of Lotus Eaters mainly. I just recently came across Pints with Aquinas and I am impressed. :)
It’s funny to see a discussion between people on such opposite poles of the “agreeableness” spectrum (personality inventory). Value in both, but soooooo different.

Sweet baby gang started when Matt was talking about people dressing like pigs or homeless people at the airport. One black actresses was bringing this out. She said sweet babies please dress nicer she was upset that black woman looked like that. Then Matt said," I could use the term sweet baby whenever he is talking bad about people.
I think the most decisive and convincing argument for recognizing biological sex as informative of lifestyle is that it actually has cultural relevance. The first society is the family. Families, however they come to arise in our times, still requirea man and a woman. And the cultural cues for the sexes are still relevant to most people, who want children by the normal, simple, biological route.
Matt, suggestion,whenever you go on a show always bring your own digital recorder, even if you have to hide it. So you have evidence of what actually happened, just in case they cut your good point out.
The tension on that stage was thermonuclear. When you see that weird thing with a beard laugh, you realize these two sides have more than human weapons pointed at each other. If at all possible send your children to a Catholic or Christian university. I thought I was doing good by sending my child to the highest regarded public university in our state and truly regret it. My child, who went to Catholic schools and was a practicing Catholic was turned completely around and has left the church. Please help me pray for her.

@Alex thank you for your thoughts. But one cannot put the blame of suicide on people who point out the truth evrn though it is a bitter pill to swallow. We must speak the Truth to them because to condone a wrong act is not helping the person but rather leading him further astray. I love these brothers of ours which is why we fight for their salvation. Only the Truth will make them truly free and happy not only in this life but also in eternity. Matt Walsh has really grown on me. He really has. At first I didn’t like his delivery. I didn’t like him at all. But now I just really love it. He’s great. I like him and Ben Shapiro.
He can be a little blunt, but I can definitely see why that approach is sometimes needed. His appearance on Dr. Phil was great, and his commentary on the New York Magazine cover they briefly talk about here was amazing.

@@ntmn8444 Ben Shapiro is more educated than Matt Walsh, but I think that Matt is smarter. Ben uses a lot of platitudes in his arguments and he is trapped in his libertarian ideology. Matt on the other hand uses logic and common sense in his arguments, which make them sound like platitudes on a first glance, but they're more substantial than Ben's arguments. Also, Matt isn't afraid to ignore and "deconstruct" the leftist dogma, while Ben still plays according to their rules.
I'm converting to Catholicism, and in one of my RCIA classes before Christmas our priest was briefly talking about transgenderism and how we need to protect women and things like that (I was so happy to hear him actually speaking up about this issue instead of being too scared to address it), and once he left the room the Deacon (who actually leads our RCIA group) said that he was a bit shocked that Fr seemed to be against the whole transgender thing, and went on a ramble about how Pope Francis says gender is actually a spectrum and the Catholic belief no longer conforms to traditional, binary male-female behaviours (I think it's because I'm young so he assumes I'm a progressive liberal). I was shocked! I'm digressing a bit but I would like to leave my parish once I'm baptised and confirmed (mainly because the priest doesn't offer communion, our deacon does it instead and he only does communion in the hand which I'm uncomfortable with and looks down on communion on the tongue) which is a shame because our parish priest is amazing and our community is very welcoming, it's just far too progressive for me. One elderly woman in our group (who is a cradle Catholic) has even said at times that priests should be allowed to marry and have children, women should be able to be ordained, and that homosexuality is okay because they're "born that way". Honestly my norvus ordo parish is turning me more into a traditionalist with every meeting. I worry for other potential catechumens being taught this stuff during their conversion process.

We grew up in the rural South as Christians (I’m a preachers kid) and I discovered the traditional Church on my study abroad trips to Greece, Rome, and Latin America. Now we are very happily Catholic, living in the boiling pot that is the Chicago Archdiocese, and I am a Catholic schoolteacher at a classical Chesterton school.
Just wanted to introduce myself and also comment that, barring your intent, I think you made a mistake around 9:40 where you were talking about the linguistic jujitsu of postmodern critics of sex/gender. You said “a man who thinks she is a woman” instead of ‘he.’ Just pointing it out in case people drill you for it. Very easy mistake!

@@VizziMoto On the Church, yes I do believe it to be the one true Church, and I recognize the Petrine supremacy of Rome. I also believe in the Catholic understanding of baptism and the Eucharist. My main issue is with monergism and synergism. Both Paul seems to be more monergistic than synergistic, and Augustine seemed adamant about attributing any good in him to God alone, and any evil to himself.
Walsh is right about how a lot of this stems from narcissism. I’m a high school student and more than half (I’m not exaggerating) of the kids in my high school identify as something other than a straight male or female. While some of them are broken people with mental problems and past trauma, a lot of people just say they’re something else for the attention. It’s really sad. I should point out that I live in the Bible Belt. I can’t imagine what it’s like in places like California or New York. I think older generations don’t seem to realize how much things have changed since they were teenagers. That’s why they’re still pushing this stuff.
Stay faithful to God’s commands, love as much as you can those around you . Hold strong in your faith and his light will shine the guide your school mates need.

What sets Matt apart is how he has no limitations or fear of the left. He gladly embraces these conversations like on Doctor Phil and also doesn't cower or look weak but just stands his ground and regardless of what the left says was the only respectable person talking that day and treated the others quite well without acting like a child and rolling eyes or interrupting. I heard a good lecture by Bishop Robert Barron called ideas have consequences. He mentioned some of the philosophical trends that go into leftism today. These include the philosophies of Marx, Nietzsche, Sartre and Foucault. What results is a very confused and unreflective mix of all of these. For example the idea that one can simply rewrite the self comes out of existentialism, the idea that existence precedes essence.

I am a 51 year old atheist. I grew up during what I call the heyday of evangelical excess in American culture. It is now 2022 and I have to listen to two Catholics to get a hint of rational discussion. The left of which I would have considered myself once a member has lost the plot. So here I am, an atheist listening to two theists because it's the best I can get today.
As a theist, I also enjoy listening to some atheists like those on the Podcast of the Lotus Eaters(I think all or almost all of the hosts/commentators are atheist), who are also very conservative to somewhat classical liberal (depending on the commentator).
I usually go back and forth between Daily Wire (just about every host is religious) and Podcast of Lotus Eaters mainly. I just recently came across Pints with Aquinas and I am impressed. :)

I think the most decisive and convincing argument for recognizing biological sex as informative of lifestyle is that it actually has cultural relevance.
The first society is the family. Families, however they come to arise in our times, still requirea man and a woman. And the cultural cues for the sexes are still relevant to most people, who want children by the normal, simple, biological route.
