How do I get Rook/Queen etc.? I am at Bishop and even if I win 3 games and then lose 1 I am back where I started (rank wise).

As long as you get top 4 you’ll gain rank, also if you play with lower rank players and get 5-8 you lose a lot of rank

It's harder to rank up when you play against knights and viceversa
You need to play against bishops to ensure a consistent xp gain

Whenever is eliminated from the game the person who dealt the last bit of damage gets a bit of extra gold - as you can see at 31:14 someone else "kills him" and gets 3 gold :) I guess that is not an insane amount, but 3 gold is still a good bit!
