Ist das nicht ein unglaublich schönes und originelles Orchesterstueck. Man kann es auch genießen, wenn man nichts weiß über die Geschichten, die damit verbunden sind. Bravo ONF!
In general this performance sounds a little scrappy and cautious because it's under- rehearsed, and it's clearly not music that they particularly love. Listen to almost anyone else play this great score, and it reveals what a thrilling and glorious piece it is, but that requires the sort of playing that comes from deep knowledge and love of the music, which is not the case here. The first movement is almost sabotaged by out- of- time and overly- loud cymbals.
So sad! This music will never be remembered as worthwhile to listen to! Every so often it comes out of its “cocoon” of nothingness but goes right back into it!! Totally lacking in any MELODY to be remembered to be sung, whistled, or hummed. Not all great music has have a lot of melody, but its greatness lies in some sort of “musical pleasure”. This piece lacks EVERYTHING! Total waste of time by the listener & the composer! Now let the “contemporary critics” “masticate”me!!!
Put on some Mozart (or, perhaps more your speed, The Beach Boys - catchy tunes and all) and, please, don't go off your meds again. It's OK to feel you're superior to everyone else, but try not to be so loud about it, for the sake of us mental and emotional defectives who just can't operate at your level.
Well music changed. It's hard for people with negative IQ to comprehend that music back then wasn't meant to ve sung or hummed. It was created to tell a story. You think other pieces like Flight of the bumblebee were meant to be sung?

This piece was premiered 100 years ago, so I'd say it's remembered at least a bit.

Yes, I’d like to masticate your ignorance. When you dont understand something at least show some respect and shut up. Sabelotodo
your comment is too stupid to even be worth criticizing
