Well, I would consider your comment if you were new to the series, but this far into it, you should at least not be surprised that Luffy usually takes more damage in fights than what he deals. It's no novelty. And of course it has to do with the fact that he's the protagonist. One would guess that makes sense that in the One Piece universe, thousands of people think, say and wish to be the next Pirate King; the only reason we see this universe from Luffy's perspective is because he's supposedly the one who will succeed, be it via reasons, luck, effort and whatnot. It's fiction, so whether you think the outcome of this fight is credible or not, is about as absurd as considering the existence of fruits that give you powers credible or not to begin with
@@haydenlee7689 Luffy was barely moving while Katakuri was already up. You saw that right? Katakuri accepted defeat coz he respected Luffy. He was pretty sure that Luffy has potential. Thats why he asked if Luffy would return to beat BM. Which means he know Luffy will be Big Mom tier soon enough.
@@zigsteenine8650 it was harder to tell, but it was mostly due to his mid-battle improvements. his ken haki grew exponentially, to the point where katakuri was experiencing his attacks in real time.
@@paulstanecki8024 and how did he manage to stay in the fight long enough to improve mid battle? Cause of his endurance. The whole fight was as someone else has said: a fight between a man who never falls down and one who always gets back up.
Katakuri lucky to not get fights with big shots like luffy did. The man who hasn't fall back my ass, he literally didnt meet opponents like admiral, kaido, shanks,mihawk.while luffy throwing hands with them. 😂
