The ratings sure didn't reflect an increase in interest, nearly a1/3rd of the audience tuned out by the main event. There's a significant percentage of AEW fans that tune out women's wrestling, the women's match is usually the lowest watched segment.
After I saw the TV ratings it was actually small business lol
Lot of friendly fire. Failure with intent to promote even though the only people who knew were people who watch regularly and some of those who already stopped watching over the last 2 years. Her interview quote partially killed debut excitement. Finally, if you debut a women, either do it at the end or follow the segment with a womens ' match. That's what new viewers came to see; women
I personally would have threw this headline in the trash. Not everything moving forward has to fail, but the debut did.

I think im going to do a research project. See if wwe and aew do the exact same thing on their respective Shows, and see if there is a like or hate difference. My hypothesis is this: dude on my left will love when aew does it then shit on wwe.
PS i dont like wwe and only watch aew online on youtube and watch reviews as well. If he comes out and says, "i hate wwe and no matter what, and they smell like poop." Then ill call off the project. Im going to call it "The Testidge"

Also, why they didnt put her face everywhere prior to the debut is mind blowing

it depends some flourish like AJ Styles when he first got to WWE and same could be said for Christian Cage but at the same time you have a bunch of examples in WWE where they misused amazing talent like Keith Lee, Malakai Black, Toni Storm etc and same in AEW (Miro, Andrade) so we all just have to wait and see

The WWE fanboys are so sour at the moment its really quite funny. They talked about how Mercedes was coming back at the rumble and there was no way she would ever go to AEW. As soon as she picked AEW all they can talk about is how she's trouble and it won't make a difference and shes committing 'career suicide'. Its almost as laughable as when they try to suggest that no one cares about Ospreay and Okada despite them both being super over.
It's honestly about as funny as it is pathetic
"Fanboys" represent less than 10% of fans. Why give them so much attention? Oh wait.

I've talked about nothing but not wanting to see Mercedes on my TV period ever since she left.
And then the disappointing big business ratings came out which simply prove what fans were saying all along aew just ain't it. I like banks but being a good performer is only half the battle
