Also, one thing I recommended for using capcut is whenever it gets to lagy to export you're process(or just start another prodject and export it all at once at the end) and add it all together! It helps stop the laginess and will also help if you need to keep the 'scenes' separated. Dont know if this helps, or if you wanted help-but there you go!!
A tip for lag is to make sections, make each section a different project and then put them later together. Like that you can avoid so much lag. This is what a friend of mine does for her reactions that are mostly longer then 40 minutes. ^^

(Capcut will not stop lagging whatever you do, so just divide the video into parts, like you have those 8 mins, leave them and create a new project, when capcut will start lagging again create another one, then when you finish the video just put those parts together and you'll get a whole thing)
