I love the kitten in it.:-)😀😲🙂AAAww! Cute picture book. I don't break attatched Puzzle pieces. unless I'm putting Puzzles back in boxes. It's a beautiful Jigsaw Puzzle.🙂
It’s so cute isn’t it? I loved that about the image as soon as I saw it - reminded me of my own cheeky cat. I also loved all the colours. I will mostly take apart, unless the puzzle happens to be majorly difficult, in which case I accept it as a blessing 😁
Hi Vicky, I am really enjoying your channel. I am slowly catching up on all your videos. I have only really ever done 1000 piece or less puzzles, but you have given me the inspiration to go ahead and start trying some bigger ones. Can't wait to see more from content from you.
Hiya, thank you! I’m so glad you are enjoying my channel. I mostly do 1000 piece puzzles to be honest - I only started doing big ones in 2021, but I’ve developed a strong liking for them, so I seem to be doing more and more 😆 I’m glad I’ve inspired you to try some bigger puzzles 😍
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! It looks amazing! What amazing art work! I found the heye puzzle I did extremely challenging! I’m glad you didn’t feel that way! It seems Grace thinks you did a good job too! Can’t wait to see your next puzzle! 🌺🌺😃
He he! Thank you 😍 this one was just the right side of challenging, not too bad at all, but not easy either 😊 I suppose it all depends on what the image is really, this one has loads of different colours in it, so there was lots for me to work with. Grace did seem to like it didn’t he? Didn’t hesitate to use it for a bed anyway! 😆
Nothing beats watching a puzzle come together in a time-lapse. I could watch that all day! :) Thanks for the introduction to HEYE puzzles-that wasn’t a manufacturer I was previously familiar with. Looks like they have a lot of fun designs and I’ll have to check them out!
I know, it’s mesmerising watching a puzzle come together in time lapse 😃 no problem, I’m really glad I tried Heye, they have loads of fun puzzles out there - I’ll definitely be doing some more by them! Thank you for watching 😍
I always put a new puzzle in a colander, and shake all the dust off into the sink. This is a new brand to me, looks like a nice choice of designs. 🌍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🌍
That’s a good idea! Might have to try that sometime 😊 I don’t usually have much trouble with dust, but in the giant puzzles it can get a bit troublesome! They have some lovely designs, I will definitely do more by Heye 😊 thank you for watching!
Thank you,I love that you try all these challenging puzzles. I seem to stick to certain puzzle companies and artists, Charles wysocki and others in the same style is my absolute favourite, and normally 1000 piece though I do have down to 300 if the picture is extra interesting. So thank you for making things I have no time left in the day for and enjoying them so much.
Aaw - you are 100% welcome. There are the occasional ones that I don’t find as fun to do, but 99% of the time, I thoroughly enjoy them - even when I try ones that aren’t usually my thing, I end up being glad I gave it a go. I do think you have got to do the ones you like most though - puzzling should be nothing but fun and enjoyable. Thank you so much for watching my videos 😍
My first puzzle when I got into puzzles as an adult was a heye. It was different animals and the colors were just amazing. In your video, I was just waiting for you to put the nose on this cute little cat's face hahaha. Very cool puzzle!
I really like the brand. This one was great anyway 😃 they seem to have a lot of lovely colourful images to choose from, and funny ones too, like the Zozoville ones - I will have to give one of those a try at some point 😆 ha ha! Sorry to keep you waiting on the cat nose, those pieces were in the white bunch, which I didn’t really tackle until past halfway through. I found one pretty quickly, but I wanted to wait until I had both before I put them in so I could do a close up shot of it 😍
another great video. I really appreciate your thoughts and observations as you complete the puzzle, but also the after completion "lessons learned" and overall impression comments
Thank you! 😍 I’m really glad you like that, I don’t really script my videos (much), just say what my observations are as I go, but it’s great to know that you enjoy that and find it useful 😃
This puzzle is so pleasing in so many ways. The colors are stunning and you can never have too many puzzles with cats in them. I haven’t done a Heye puzzle either. I have one in my to do stash. It’s one of the cuddly Zozoville Monsters which I know are quite popular. This makes me want to look at other Heye puzzles as well. Thank you for continuing to do puzzle videos. I know that takes a lot of editing work, but your kind voice and warm spirit are so endearing. It’s like puzzling with a friend who just happens to live on the other side of the big pond. I can’t wait to see what is next. I know you were sorting the 6000 piece Educa.
Hiya! Thank you so much for watching the video and for your kind words 😊 it’s funny, even though I’m the other side of the camera (and in many cases, the ocean!) and on my own, filming these puzzles and putting them up on UA-cam really does make me feel like I’m puzzling with friends too. It’s so nice to share this with others and engage with the amazing puzzling community 😍 I agree, cats in a puzzle is never a bad thing 😆 I really liked this Heye puzzle and am going to have a go at one of the Zozoville ones at some point, I just think they look so good! I hope that you enjoy your Zozoville puzzle. I have started sorting on the Educa. I’m going to do that gradually so I don’t feel so overwhelmed by the sorting process 😆 I have a few more smaller puzzles to come, but won’t be too long before the Educa goes up, I think! 🤞
Enjoyed the video, Vicky. I have over 90 Heye puzzles. Almost all of them are older ones that came in a tall triangular shaped box. One thing about them is the piece count on the box is the actual number of pieces. Their 1000-piece puzzles are 25 by 40pieces, 2000's are 40 by 50, 4000's are 50 by 80 and so on. They have so many interesting pictures, some are very funny.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed. That’s an interesting fact! Most puzzles aren’t what they say on the box are they! Thank you for that. The pictures are really interesting, I agree. I particularly like the Zozoville ones, they look funny 😃
What a pretty puzzle! 🤩 I once found the Panda puzzle from Heye and I wanted to try it but was also unsure of the quality. So thank you for reviewing it. Will definitely try it! 🥰
I really like this one. Just had a look at some of their other puzzles and they have some great images. It's good to know that the quality of the pieces is good also.I have been mainly looking out for 1000 piece puzzles with colorful impressionist art because the image is more important to me than the challenge. I just do the puzzles without referring to the picture now. I have also been buying my puzzles locally. I am restricted to what I can get but I would rather support the shops.
The artwork is lovely on this one! A few of the other Heyes have her artwork too I think! I get mine from the shops and online, I particularly like when I find good ones in the charity shops (although you do run the risk of getting incomplete ones on that score!) 😃 thank you for watching!
That's a nice abstract art jigsaw puzzle, looks like something I'd enjoy working on. I've wanted to try a puzzle by Aquarius when I find the right image.
Hi, thanks! Yes, the art is lovely - I really like her art work 😍 I have heard of Aquarius, but have not tried one of their puzzles yet, I will get around to them as well I’m sure. I want to try some more new brands 😃 I hope you find the right image soon and thank you for watching!
That's a gorgeous art piece. I don't know if I'd get the puzzle though. I'm slowly learning that some art I'd just prefer as an artprint on my wall or in a frame instead of doing them as a puzzle. I have a couple Heye puzzles and somehow both of them have a hard image on them (my first was the panorama image Stingray, which is mainly shades of blue and grey, one called Swans (I think) that has a clear section of red and some sortable colours but it's not an easy puzzle. The other one is mainly gold and skintone, it's called Gold Jewellery). I've done the Stingray one and Swans and there was a way to separate the pieces. At certain places there seemed to be a slight wave pattern to the grid too. Very fun considering I noticed it in the waves. But I partly think my puzzles feel/are more on the difficult side because two of the three have an artpiece from Cris Ortega on them and those have a lot of dark or similar shades in them. I liked the piece quality and I think I didn't have any false fits but it's maybe 5 or six years back I did that puzzle so I'm not entirely sure anymore. I like to store my puzzles in sections. I didn't always do it with all puzzles but I've recently started with 1000+ piece ones and some 500 piece ones (the ones I didn't do it with I'm going to lend to my grandma so it has no use keeping them together, plus 500 piece puzzles are relatively easy to do most of the time (I've got a couple that are harder than most of my 1000 piece puzzles). Heye puzzles are difficult to store in sections because of the loose piece fit. And your pronunciation of Dutch can use some work. Wasgij (and Jumbo as a total brand) is Dutch. It's roughly pronounced wasgai. Not entirely, but that's as close as I can get with sounds because I'm not going to revert to phonetic writing.
For the edge pieces that are attached to each other, you could use a thin sharp knife or a single edge razor blade to cut them apart. This way you don't pull the fibers of the cardboard out which causes the pieces to not fit together straight. I try to be extra careful with separating inside pieces that I can't cut to avoid damaging them.
Hi, that’s a good idea to use a knife, particularly with edge pieces. I’ve never actually come across it before specifically on edge pieces so the not sitting straight thing has never happened. It wasn’t an issue really, but I agree with you about being careful not to damage the pieces. If I think a piece might get damaged, I just leave them stuck together! 😊 thank you for watching! 😃
Heye puzzles have really some beautiful art! I made two 1000 pieces from the 'Inner Mystic' series, 'New Skies' and 'Wondrous Journey'. The art was made by the artist Andy Kehoe. The pieces were so colorful, it was a joy to look at them. I like the finished puzzle so much that I am thinking about putting them on my walls.
Hi, Yes they really do. I loved Lora Zombie too, and I’ve kept that puzzle together as I’m also thinking about putting it on the wall. I’ll have to try the ones you mention. I have literally only done this one puzzle by Heye, but there are a few more I would like to do, definitely 😃 Thank you for watching the video 😍
I ordered this one about a week ago, but have not started it yet. I have 3 of their Movie Masters puzzles and 2 of the mystic puzzles. The later 2 were a challenge but beautiful
I hope you enjoy your ‘Meow’ puzzle 😊 I will definitely be trying more Heye puzzles too. I’ll look up the ones you mentioned too, but I would like to try the Zozoville ones 😃 thank you for watching 😍
I open the plastic bags the pieces come in close to the seal line with scissors. When I tear the puzzle down, I use my vacuum food saver machine to reseal the puzzle pieces back in it. Of course, this will only work if the bag is not wider than the sealer is.
Yes, I’m a bit messy in that regard and tend to just rip them open 😆 but I should probably be a bit more careful with puzzles I want to keep and actually just cut the bag so I can potentially re use it! 😃
I just watched you do The Witcher I really loved the series, in fact I want to watch it again. I really like 👍 the method of shuffling the pieces. I wish they had a full length picture of him by himself. It’s really ironic that you doing Heye puzzle I was looking at the same puzzle with the cat 🐈 peeking underneath. I was kind of hesitant in doing it with all the colors just all over. Now I can get the puzzle 🧩 I’ll be watching you and I will know how to do the puzzle. You really give great ideas to do any puzzle. Well I guess you know that so will be ordering the puzzle. Thanks 😊 again Vicky you really have patience doing the puzzles. Till next time. Kathy E
Hi, so glad you like the Witcher! I love the games, books and series, and I’m a Henry Cavill fan, so the idea of a puzzle with just him on definitely sounds appealing 😆 there is one of he, Ciri and Yennefer standing full length, not just the faces - he stands at the front, but he isn’t alone. 😊 I was instantly drawn to the Meow puzzle, I was just browsing the Heye puzzles and there it was - it reminded me so much of Grace. I loved the colours too 😍 I hope you enjoy yours if you get it, it wasn’t easy, but it was definitely doable. Thank you for your kind comments, I’m so glad you find my ideas and my methods helpful. All the best! 😃
Hi, I’ve just finished a puzzle called the final few, 1000 piece, house of puzzles. It’s beautiful and I enjoyed every minute, I thought it was going to be really hard but it wasn’t.
That one sounds good - I’ll look it up 😃 I know what you mean, sometimes I’m a bit daunted by an image, and then it turns out to be fine 😍 thank you for watching the video 😊
lovely puzzle, not something I would pick for myself. but a beautiful image. quick question: why do so many people sort out the edges ? I never understand. I just sort them with the rest of the color or texture .
Thank you 😃 well, I can’t speak for everyone, but for me, the edges are just another thing to use to differentiate the pieces and make the other piles smaller. Plus I sometimes find it easier to orient myself around the puzzle as I’m building it, if I have a framework to work within. I won’t necessarily always start with the edge though, that depends on the puzzle. I’ll separate them, but if the edge is solid colour or something, I just leave them until later. 😍
Which company are the 654 and the 631 -piece puzzles in the background from? I personally don't like puzzles that I can't pick up without crumbling. It looks beautiful and fun, though! BTW, Grace looks sooooo cute sleeping on that pink puzzle! I think she feels she has "kitty company ", LOL!

It may hold together as a whole, but I’m not sure 😊 Yes, Grace often joins me when I’m puzzling. She seems to think the puzzles are comfortable 😆
Wow that was a lovely puzzle. Great art work by the company. I've got a little request.😄 Can you make a video ranking 10 Jigsaw puzzle companies (that you've had experience with) from the worst to the best? And if you do so, please mention their prices as well🧩😊 Thank you💝
Hi! Thank you, I agree, the art really is stunning! Thanks for your request 😊 I would find that quite hard to do, I think 😍 Mostly because there are so many brands and I love so many of them too! I would definitely consider doing a general video on my thoughts about my experience with different brands though (big and small) - pros and cons, overall quality, prices etc. I think I would struggle to rank them, but I would definitely give my thoughts on them! Thank you for watching 😃

Beautiful puzzle! Do you include the time to sort pieces in your total puzzle time?
Thank you 😍 If I sort, then I do include it in the building time, yes 😊

Vicky,
Which company are the 654 and the 631 -piece puzzles in the background from?
They are Ravensburger Krypt puzzles 😁
Historia Comica from Heye is excellent and fun.
I have seen that one! I’ll maybe have to see if I can get hold of it 😃
Thanks so much for the recommendation, and for watching 😍
Which company are the 654 and the 631 -piece puzzles in the background from?
I personally don't like puzzles that I can't pick up without crumbling. It looks beautiful and fun, though!
BTW, Grace looks sooooo cute sleeping on that pink puzzle! I think she feels she has "kitty company ", LOL!
They are Ravensburger Krypt puzzles - pink and gradient 😍
I never actually tried to do a puzzle pick up with the Heye puzzle, but the sections didn’t hold together great so I didn’t bother. It may hold together as a whole, but I’m not sure 😊
Yes, Grace often joins me when I’m puzzling. She seems to think the puzzles are comfortable 😆
Thank you for your reply. Finally saw the first one!!
The Zozoville puzzles by Heye are like potato chips, you can't do just one! I have all of them and love every one.
I would love to get them all! Hopefully I will eventually - I really do like Heye puzzles and Zozoville looks so fun! 😍
Wow that was a lovely puzzle. Great art work by the company.
I've got a little request.😄
Can you make a video ranking 10 Jigsaw puzzle companies (that you've had experience with) from the worst to the best? And if you do so, please mention their prices as well🧩😊 Thank you💝
Hi! Thank you, I agree, the art really is stunning!
Thanks for your request 😊 I would find that quite hard to do, I think 😍 Mostly because there are so many brands and I love so many of them too! I would definitely consider doing a general video on my thoughts about my experience with different brands though (big and small) - pros and cons, overall quality, prices etc. I think I would struggle to rank them, but I would definitely give my thoughts on them!
Thank you for watching 😃
