- A small business owner residing in one of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s investment properties has been handed an eviction notice.
The tenant has since come out urging the Prime Minister not to evict him.
Sky News host Liza Storer has discussed the Prime Minster handing a tenant an eviction notice during the cost of living crisis.
“This guy has been given 90 days to get out … he’s been on a month-to-month basis his lease rather for a long time now,” Ms Storer said.
“And probs to Albo he took this guy's lease down to $680 bucks a week during COVID and hasn’t raised it since.
“So he has been quite a fair landlord … I can’t fault Albanese for this.”

Sorry. Regardless of what our feelings are for our PM, he still has the right to do what he wants with his property; and I am sure that he will give the guy time to fine alternative accommodation, and it is not right to use emotion as a tool to attack the PM.

I'm building up my tent city portfolio. I already own several tents and am looking at expanding. I can't afford a multiple housing portfolio like our politicians, so tents will have to make do. Thinking of calling my portfolio "Tents for Tenants". At the rate homelessness in Australia is increasing I think I'm on to a winner unless our political class moves into the tent buying market and makes those unaffordable too.

Who is actually building these houses? Where are they being built? Exactly how many are being built? Who is going to own them initially? How many are going to be offered as private market rentals? How many as public housing ? Will priority be given to homeless Australians or, as I suspect, many if not most of them will be filled up with "refugees" (cough). It's all too vague. Lets get real. It doesn't matter who owns the property, It depends on how they declare their eviction. Listen to the options ; First the tenant should have been advised that the property was up for sale. secondly he should be informed that if anyone wants to inspect his area it must be by appointment. What if the new buyer is happy to keep tenants. so many options available.

Shame Sky didn't fact-check this story. According to the Daily Mail, "Albo has been beyond generous to this guy". He cut his rent by 25% during COVID and hasn't raised it since. The tenant has been paying less than half the market rent.

Well the trick is to aim towards buying a house flat out. or complete alternative lifestyle. Those are the dreams. V difficult in UK in my region to not want to flat buy one out.
Everyones dream and all the daytime TV use to be like, You go to France and buy this or you go buy a spanish Villa for half the price of a UK house. But none of the people ended up doing that. Even though you might get a pool and it would feel like a holiday. There was some catch to it i guess. Everyone has these dreams but get caught up into the day to day.
The real goal in life is to find a way to get what you want when you want it. And not sort of have something that in reality you can only justify with continued employment.
The presenters are lucky because its a fun job you ahve where you can have fun and do what normal people do that is have opinions and broadcast them, But though its great there is still a train ride ahead on actually owning something. Thing is. If i had access to free land, that i could work, i wouldn't never realise how smart i actually am. Or where that we stand in the guage of things. The technique forces people to do exceptional things whereby otherwise i most certainly would have a tribal lifestyle perhaps many children. But nobody would know if those descendants would truely have competent abilities at driving forward an organism that can do exceptional things on behalf of the global lineage when facing the issues of the deep future.
