    This might sound silly, but what is the purpose in the excess lace if you have to cut it back to the hairline on the wig? I've always wondered why it doesn't arrive without it.

    • @Aja.aasms.
      @Aja.aasms. 3 роки тому +46

      If someone has a bigger forehead they may cut less and pull the wig forward more than she has

    • @aicilac1
      @aicilac1 3 роки тому +39

      Because every body’s hairline is different, ideally you’re supposed to be cutting it to the shape of your hairline for it to look ‘natural’
      She used a different technique in this one where she used her actual hair in the front

    • @angelacrowe5575
      @angelacrowe5575 3 роки тому +19

      That was exactly what I was thinking!! Why the lace, only to cut ✂️ it??

    • @Iceberg1955
      @Iceberg1955 2 роки тому +5

      That's a very good question. My thought too is just cut off the excess lace. I don't see the need for it...just saying! 😉

    • @asamvelo

      to accommodate her small forehead.... she doesn't need extra hairline

    This was suppose to be for beginners. Once she pulled out the band to sew it down I had to leave... could it just be simple 🤦🏽‍♀️

    This is helpful, but do you mind doing the same technique on a wig that's $50 and under? I feel like doing this with a $200-$300 wig is different than with a more affordable wig.

    I think this is the best tutorial for newbies using a wig. I have had a pixie at least 20 years and now over 50 decided to let it grow out and no more bleaching. There are sooooo many ladies using got 2b glue and freeze spray, ghost glue, etc., that after long use have a loss of pigmentation on the top of their foreheads as well as losing their hair along the edges. Your video is conservative and practical when securing the unit and looks beautiful. I have subscribed and will share with my friends as a tool. Looking forward for more smart tutorials. Thank you!!!

    Even though this is really in depth video and I am a white girl, it really is the first video that explained more than I was finding. I don't know why anyone is complaining about the sewing...you don't have to do that if you don't want to but if you want a good product, it was a simple sew job. I was looking for someone to explain how to apply a lace wig correctly...thank you! I have hairloss from health issues and need to wear a wig and I am just at a loss. BTW, your hair looks beautiful!!

      I think it's too daunting when she starts sewing, the title makes it sound a bit more "beginner friendly".
      I'm really new to this and that's new info for me! I didn't know I would have to do more than pre-pluck 😅
      But maybe if they watched the whole thing - they would see the sewing is worth it to make the wig glueless!!

    This is such a good tutorial. I am not good at doing my hair at all so I wear wigs, but I know I don't do that right either and I wanted to see the "right" way to wear a lace front. I'm definitely saving this!

    I’ve never used wigs in my life so I have no idea how lace wigs work, I recently shaved my head and decided to start using them so thank you for teaching me :)

    Honestly this is the best video I've watch so far (and I've seen many) that's making my vision so much easier to achieve. Well done

    Your natural hair is longer and prettier than the wig but thank you for showing us how to install.

      Women wear wigs for Many reasons not just for looks. It's also a way to PROTECT your natural hair from all the chemicals they spray in the air and sometimes a woman might want to change her color without putting chemicals in her natural hair.

    I've been struggling with this lace trend bc I like my edges and I'm afraid of glue! Lol you applied this unit sooo seamlessly. I'll definitely be using your technique. Great job🖤🖤🖤
