So Anyone involved in Architecture Primarily Temple Building is known as a Vishwakarma. Imagine urself. If Vishwakarma were Considered as Low Caste or "Untouchable" or Impure, would the Bhrahmins or Kshatriyas Conduct Rituals in any temples constructed by them(in ancient times they Built ALL the temples)
This was not built by ordinary beings....Pandavas constructed the temple and after that Adi Shankaracharya did restoration of temple 🙏

Excellent graphic presentation. We should appreciate our ancestors on their technical expertise in designing the structures which requires lot of logistic movements and temperature factor. This temple is always in thick snow and how did they get time to construct or bring stones from far away??? As some one told earlier, now a days we don’t have interest to build such monuments. One thing surprises me tat how could they cut large stones with such a precision & how to lift such heavy stones at tat height without the help of any machines. It's marvellous job.

No doubt in the fact that their knowledge about civil structures was marvellous and other thing is that cutting stones with such precion and carving them with such detailing is far more difficult even today when we are having such a technology.
They might have built ramps that enabled then to move large stones on the top of the gopuram.
Sthapathys follows sthapatha veda.Devinity of the sthapathy's(VishwaKarma's)is eternal.thats y they can make these kind of masterpiece like Tanjore temple,Kailash rock edge temple etc.,
There is a concept of stone cutting with high pressure water jets. This kind of cutting doesn't leave traces of cutting or chips like it does with normal tools. Could be somethinglike that or some technology that's even better, a 100 times

The fact that the Kedarnath temple stood firm and motionless when literally entire Uttarakhand was swept away in the 2013 floods still gives me shivers! The timeless visionary construction of the temple, with the miraculous rolling boulder that hit at the back and protected the temple when it's entire complex was swallowed by floods is simply unbelievable. According to the several geological surveys, the marks on temple walls indicate that it has also survived a glacial period. Amazing!!

@R&AW no most of the buildings which are properly designed can survive storms, parts of it are damaged but the building still stands, same with the temples, they are marvelously planned, but they are not superhuman
@Ramesh Ranjan yeah because it is well designed with respect to loads, it has a streamlined shape overall and the masonry work is good, the foundation is a bit weak but in case of the floods it was protected by the Boulder that miraculously attached itself behind the temple. And it is big misconception that it wasn't damaged at all, the kalsh on top was broken and the amalashila has marks of fracture because of lightning strikes

see probably it was mined at a higher spot, and even though there are no current mines nearby, there could easily have been some in those days, also the amount of stone that was needed doesn't need a huge mine to quarry, it could have been taken from the sides of the cliffs. and even if they were transported up hill, they could have done it, see if we assume one cart can take 1 ton of stone, even if 5 carts went up and down each week, we can transport all the required materials in two or three years, then they can be dressed at site and assembled, see the temple wasn't built in a fortnight right, but yeah it would be difficult, and hence the biggest motivation was required, devotion to king and GOD
