Namaste madam 🙏 my name is Vijayanti Pappu and I am a disciple of Sangeetha kala Acharya Dr.rs jayalakshmi.i really loved the way you explained the thodi ragam the gamakas
ThOdi symbolizes the epitome of Carnatic music and the veena is particularly suited for a ragam like this, and there is no exponent better than Smt Jayanthi among today's vainikas. Would love to hear her play all the thOdi kritis she mentioned, plus more, such as kmalAmbike and jEsinAthella.
Yera Na Pai (Thodi) varnam is my favourite. I always finish my daily sadhana by playing Abhogi and Thodi Varanams. Yes, I agree beauty of Thodi Ragam is the Gamakas as in G2, D1 and N2. Thank you so much for choosing Ragam Thodi for today's episode. Eagerly Waiting to listen Sri Ragam.🙏👌
Incredibly helpful, thank you
musicians nadaswara vidwans like this thodi. Shri TNR THODI is still in our memory. Your presentation is excellent. Thanks Namaskaram
What a classic explanation. Thank you so much Madam.
Thank you so much 🙏 learning of the gamakams in this raga is so interesting.
Beautiful work Jayanthi Ma'am!
That was a FABULOUS Thodi !! Many thanks for the wonderful insights into this majestic Raga! The kathakali musicians of kerala are expert in bringing out all of the Nava Rasas through this one Raga.... perhaps you could include a video on the Rasas associated with various Ragas?!
great idea! Will definitely think about this for a future episode!
Wow . You started with a very positive note about the next generation classical musicians.
Initially I used go feel that Todi is a very sad raga. Pathos you can say.
But listening to the various compositions and also your wonderful explanations , I have changed my view . It's a magical one.
Namaskaram madam. Wonderful approach to Todi.
Looking forward to listen to the next Raga from you. Nice to hear Todi Raga.🙏
Madam, nice explanation ... can you please make a session for

Really a very blissful ragam. Your explanation adds fragrances to it. My favourite kriti in Thodi is “ Ananda Natesa”
Thanks Ms. Jayanthi madam
🙏
Good morning Jayanthi madam. I am very happy to hear the wonderful rendition of Thodi raga by you. The beauty in this raga is the gamakam in each of the swaras G2 D1 N2. Thank you for choosing this ragam.
Though a melakartha ragam, there is beauty in playing G2 M1 D1 N2 D1 M1 without touching P. Is it an exception to this melakatha ragam madam or should it be taken as G2M1-D1N2D1-M1?
God bless.
Excellent madam 👍👍
nice class....
Namaskaram Jayanthi ma'am... Your explanation was crisp to the core but provided a lot of insights to dwell upon... Would like to have a much detailed version on the ways thodi can be approached... Thanks 🙏
🥰🥰
Maragatha Mani Neela.... My favorite 😇

I have heard him play with a big flute. I have his pic too. I have went to his concert
Please explain Todi vs Hanumatodi in detail.
Another video on this...
While doing gamakas in thodi - are we using both R1 and R2? And N1 N2? along with G2 and D1?
I think in ragasudha hall...
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👌🏻👌🏻🌹🌹
Great explanation ♥️
Can you please explain the difference between dhanyasi- thodi and dhanyasi -sudha dhanyasi?
Thank you ma'am 😍🙏🤗
Gangai Karai Mannanadi.......
Bahukan Nalan - Thodi and Saaveri mix, I believe. Doctor can clarify please.....
Gud day madam thank u so much for this informative explanation about this versatile Ragam . I have a doubt what is the difference between Varali and thodi as I always get confused while listening to it in concerts😁
Do check day 3 of this series here, where we talk about Varali - ua-cam.com/video/eLwycnkQrbo/v-deo.html
