Love the color but hard to see with the ceiling lights reflecting.
Do you need to de-gloss over raw wood before gel staining?
I know you don’t remove the current finish first, but should you still use the deglosser/degreaser on a project like this?

Will using gel stain cover spots where the previous stain “peeled off” or removed from the table? We have one section of our table that looks very worn so looking for the best way to bring this back to life. Thank you!!
This is my EXACT question. I have a wood sofa and the front of the arms are worn.
Is the gel stain opaque? If I put it on an unfinished wood will I still be able to see the grain???
I have an older dresser that has some pretty deep scratches, I was going to go with the graphite, so I need to fill the scratches and sand down first?
If they are deep scratches, definitely fill them with wood filler first!
I used the prep and the stain did not cover the faded area. what am I doing wrong??? It wiped right off of the faded areas

Always first!
Do you need to degloss an already stained piece?
The deglosser is used to remove any previous oils or waxes that may be one the piece. I would go ahead and use it in this instance.
How long until you can use table? Did I hear you say the following day?
As long as it has dried, the table is ready to go except for cleaners! We suggest allowing the paint to cure before cleaning the table with any chemicals.

As long as the can says it can cover a poly based product, but a resin isn't needed :)
