I am focused on only sourcing higher ASP items and diversifying my closet ( adding more MENS, high end children and $50+houseware items). In addition, consistently refreshing/ relisting stale listings after 61 days: check comps, update photos and improving listing title and description. My ASP has increased to $56 and I am selling 10% of my relisted items ie.5-10 additional sales every month.
Great tips! Definitely sticking to quality brands with trending styles is helpful. From a math pov, my recommendation is aim to pick up pieces with original retail of $200+ if you expect a resale somewhere in the $50 ballpark. Even then, right now with the offers i've been getting, a lot of the sales go down to like $35 (30% discount) and then after posh fees your earnings are $28. So if you want to make a $20 profit your COGS need to be under $8. My bread and butter brands continue to be Aritzia, Lululemon, Free People, Zara. Shoes: Keen, Fitflop Bags: Roots leather, Kipling and Coach. Good luck everyone, hope summer is kind :)
But remember in sourcing - some of us live in areas where there are no seasons. I'm in Louisiana it's hot through October. I like to pick up dresses and most of my sales go to other hot US states like Texas, Arizona, California and Florida. I haven't even worn a winter coat in years. Just a light jacket.
I've been selling for sometime now, and it's always funny how I forget to go back and do the basics sometimes. It's so easy to get complacent. Thank for the reminder!❤
I’m still pretty new, just doing this since January, but I would say to really go through your home. I had many items that could’ve been listed, instead of buying inventory. Now I’m getting around to listing those items.
Tabs, I just want to say thank you and I really appreciate your transparency sharing these tips. I`ve been postponing to open my closet for SO long because I am afraid I dont know enough ( what to source for, what to price, etc...). Your channel`s been super helpful. Thank you!
I’m going to give you best the piece of advice personally. The best way to learn is to try. You will learn more opening your closet and applying than you will watching!! I promise ❤️
My best piece of advice is that we can always be better. We can improve as fast as trends if we assess our business from an objective and accountable point of view. I started reselling just over a year ago and I have learned to acknowledge both how far I've come, but also, how far there is to go to acquire those consistent sales! Keyword: Consistency. When consistency is applied to ALL facets of reselling (not just listing) the results will come. Great tips Tabs!! It is no wonder you have started and grown such an efficient, well-oiled machine! Delighted to hear about your successes, much deserved. PS ... my favourite tip from you is to include the Year in title for Lululemon pieces! It has faciliated some quick sales, yippy!
Hey Tabs, your hair looks great and I've missed seeing you. So sorry to hear about your mom.❤ I was wondering if you would talk more about your cross listing software. I'm fed up with the one I'm paying for and looking for a change.
Thank you so much for your video and great tips! I’m so new to Poshmark! I was able to understand and apply most of your tips, I was not able to find the ‘ key words’ can you tell me where to find it ? Thank you again!
Great information, as usual. Do you think that the Sell Through Rate on eBay, corresponds to Poshmark closely? I haven’t been able to set up EBay or Posh USA selling yet. Thanks Tabs
Hey Tabs! Thank you for all your amazing and informative content! Super helpful for a newish reseller like myself. Always looking forward to your new videos. 🩷
Thank you for everything! In Canada, there is not many places to sell! No border shipper in my area, so not possible for Posh us. Ebay? I don't know why... I never made a sale there! Trying hard, it is if I cannot get the first sale! Any other market place to suggest? Thank you! ❤
Can you get ups pick up from your house? Is so, you can use a boarder courier. There are no couriers in Saskatoon. I use stallion in Calgary. They have a deal with ups, ups picks up the packages from my house. Takes them to stallion in Calgary. Usually costs 10-13$, so I would say you have to make consistent sales or make a decent profit to justify the additional cost
@TabsMcCaffrey Thank you so much! Does it worth it for you? Do you maka a lot of us sales? Also, what other platform do you sell on in Canada? Thank you so much Tabs!
I think it’s worth it for me. With exchange rate I still lose a few bucks over selling on ca. but some sales I make 15-20 more cad on the us side. So I feel it all evens out. I have a rule I have to be making $50usd off the items totals to justify shipping. If I only have one sale with a $25 profit I will cancel the sale. Just my own rule. I do make quite consistent sales on both closet so I can make it work. But if you only sell 1-4 items a wk, it may not be. I sell on posh ca and eBay ca
When you talk about Posh and today’s trends. What are you clicking on? I see trending now, but when I click in it, it’s all related to my most recent listings.
2024 being “Different” is a nice way to put it. Lol. Depressed economy when bread is so high. My tip: make more aggressive offers, be okay with less profit.
Useful tip - When the boyfriend does dumb shit just throw his ass out and sell all his stuff. A week latter you can get back together, but you'll have all his stuff sold and shipped. Everyone should always be themselves, except for him - he should try not to be a dumbass.
@@TabsMcCaffreyI wish there was a way to check on PM. It’s very difficult for me to find higher end items where I live. I sell lots of Umgee, Judy Blue type clothing. I mostly find SHEIN, Target, mall brands, Ann Taylor. Rarely FP (it’s older items when I do) or Lululemon (also older).

Thank you so much! I’ve tried to figure this out sooo many times and Im not good at math and found it always got squeezed.

I use Ebay Terapeak and also filter the search like you do

For sell through rate do you type everything into the search bar (details) or check off the heading sections.
I type into search. Just my way to do it❤️

Thanks! They dont directly correlate, but is a starting point. The second step would be researching on posh.
I am so happy I found you! You are helping so much! Just wondering how long it took you to start making money on PM?
1 mth
If you sell what ppl are looking for actively, you will make sales from the first day

Hello … for cross listing on eBay i tried but as a Canadian I heard we cannot be competitive because of the shipping price.
That’s a lie. I use a cross boarder courier and charge 9.99 cad flat rate. Works out to $7 usd, costs me around 9-10 cad
Hi. Can one use the crosslisting feature to cross list from one Poshmark closet to another particularly if they are in the same country?
Absolutely! Super easy to do so.
I don’t know how to cross list from Poshmark to eBay. I really want to. Do you recommend an app to use.
I use an app called crosslisting! Love it! auth.crosslisting.com/affiliate/GODDESS
Does your cross lister, cross list your Canadian closet to Us closet (for posh)?
Yesss super easy!
Ok remind me your referral code if you have one?
How are you able to sell on Posh Canada?
I live in Canada. I have a video how I sell in the us. Check my seller tips playlist

What do you think of selling Mystery Boxes?
I don’t buy them, and I don’t sell them. Not sure if that helps? Kinda defeats checking str…

Why are they asking me $250-$500 of Apple Card or American Express card to verify my account on Poshmark? Does anyone know?
Not sure

It’s curious that you’re checking sell through on ebay but yet the items are not selling better on ebay
It’s bc you can’t check on posh. EBay is the easiest for most ppl
