The lyrics are about wanting love from someone who may never give it to you (an angel who can take the pain away) and realizing that love may not ever happen. At least, that’s what I think it means based on what I’ve read. Marko may be the dark angel who keeps it from happening, although I’m not sure about that part. Maybe that last part is just what I want it to be because Marko fits the part of a dark angel so well; just like he’s the perfect Devil in The Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean. :)
Add in that storyline a nameless guy who wished for an angel and got one in the end. Tell your readers how he's still coming back to this song years after he killed that beautiful angel just to mourn her loss..
