I agree that it would be nice to have an analogue version, but this won’t put me off getting hold of this amazing high-fidelity add-on.
Great review (best one I’ve seen on this plane) - perfect length video, showcasing concisely the features and all the better from a real world 172 pilot. Excellent job!
Thanks Warren, I am glad you enjoyed it, I spoke with AFL earlier and there is an analogue version coming :)
@@BradleySoanes oh superb! Thanks for finding that out!
Good preview! I have their original 172 and King Air and really enjoy them both. I think the NG is worth a buy, even though I'm much more partial to turbo props and biz jets.
btw, the rough running engine, etc., is also a feature on the Marchetti & all SimCoders REP packages. Glad to see AFL have included it here as well!
Such a fantastic and immersive addon as never done for the legendary C172! I never flew the NG but only the Analog version as almost everybody who got the PPL but anyway it's a Must Have in the hangar of the pilots and passionnate simmers, no doubt!
Congrats Airfoillabs and thanks for the video Captain! ;-)
I have the King Air 350i, it’s EXCELLENT! I don’t like the Cessna, but I will definitely get the DC-3 by Airfoillabs. So exited!
Flying the Cessna 172 myself I have always struggled to find one I liked and the closest thing I could find to accurate was the Simcoders REP pack for the default aircraft but this really is something else!
"Suitable for all conditions?". What an odd comment to make, considering the 172 has no ide protection whatsoever (aside Pitot Heat). And it's not "Cezzna", it's Cessna! Cessna employees and representatives pronounce it as 's' and I think they'd know best.
It looks very very good. However, I train on a classic 172 with steam gauges, old bendix-king avionics, the whole lot. Not sure this would help me a whole lot currently
INCREDIBLE!
Don't fly your 172 into icing conditions on the basis of 'all conditions' :)
I would hope that logic would prevail in these situations 😂
@@BradleySoanes You'd be surprised 😄
Lovely plane. It’s just such a shame that I can’t seem to enjoy GA flying in XP11. Even more now with MFS 2020.
To me, graphical fidelity is extremely important to enjoy GA and XP sadly fails to deliver on that level. Otherwise this would be a must have in my list. Perhaps if this would eventually be ported over to XP12 I might give it a go.
Lovely review by the way.
XP12 literally looks the same as XP 11.
Wondering if or when it will work with Real Sim Gear G1000
Great review. Agree with most of it. This was my first purchase from Airfoillabs and they didn't let me down. They have totally surpassed A2A Simulations' C172 with this one!
Indeed Airfoillabs surpassed the great work of A2A Simulation but also it's not the same Sim-plateform so that I still have the same admiration for A2A, they are the pioneers, by the way they should come to Xplane instead of going to the MFS2020/Scene Simulator/Arcade Game lol! ... No doubt this AFL C172 is the best one ever that I've never seen in Xplane so far even if I give my total respect to REP/Simcoders but this AFL is so deep close to the real experience that I can't imagine how can we do better! It's a Piece of Art of realism and immersion! So worth it, definitely! Happy New Year and Happy Landings!
How does the flight dynamics compare vs xp cessna + rep?
They are not comparable... This is by far the best 172 on the market and is built from the ground up.
@@BradleySoanes thanks!
Hold up. What Vancouver scenery is used in this video?
This is Canada4XP, Available from the Threshold forum downloads
Stay away from Airfoillabs products if you are an X-Plane user. You can expect zero support from them if their product doesn't work, or stops working correctly.
good quantity of features but shitty quality
