To be honest, like 90% of this is legit cause even other gamers will fuck up stuff at other gamers places. I picked up a friend's $50 figure and part of it snapped like a twig. Not good build quality, I was being pretty delicate too. But, seriously, if you've ever invited over someone who didn't respect your gamer stuff and damaged it before, I can totally see having all these rules. I'm still trying to figure out if this was a parody on gamers or of this video was meant unironically.
To be honest, like 90% of this is legit cause even other gamers will fuck up stuff at other gamers places. I picked up a friend's $50 figure and part of it snapped like a twig. Not good build quality, I was being pretty delicate too. But, seriously, if you've ever invited over someone who didn't respect your gamer stuff and damaged it before, I can totally see having all these rules. Like, the only controllers I've ever had break on me were broken by guests....some on the same day I bought them and some that were special limited edition versions that I can't replace..... not to mention the games that get "borrowed" and never returned and suddenly the friend who "borrowed" it just isn't responding to your texts or calls anymore. And I know plenty of people who have had similar experiences, so, I'm not surprised. I've had to replace over $200 worth of stuff from a single night, and back when I was a college student with a $100 monthly budget. Nah, not worth it to risk people not respecting you or your stuff, especially with how expensive gaming stuff is. Even people you think are pretty close friends can take from you or wreck your stuff and then ghost you. Fucking Nick, we were friends for 15 years dude, ghosting me after "borrowing" my launch edition Wii was a dick move, motherfucker.
