תעלומה בירושלים: החידה הבלשית שאפילו חוקרי המשטרה לא הצליחו לפתור

אפילו לחוקרי המז"פ של המשטרה אין תשובה: למה שימשו התעלות המסתוריות שנחצבו בסלע לפני יותר מ-2,800 שנה בעיר דוד?
בחפירות שמנהלות רשות העתיקות ואוניברסיטת תל אביב בחניון גבעתי בעיר דוד, גילו הארכיאולוגים תעלות מסתוריות מתקופת בית המקדש הראשון. התעלות נמצאו במיקום מרכזי - בין ארמון מלכי יהודה למקדש - וברור שהיה להן תפקיד חשוב בכלכלה ובתעשייה של אותם ימים.
הדגימות שנלקחו מתוך התעלות לא חשפו שרידי דם או ממצא אורגני אחר - ועדיין לא הובילו לפתרון התעלומה.
אז למה בדיוק הן שימשו ומה ייצרו בהן?

אני לא ארכיאולוג ולא שום דבר בתחום. עוד לפני שראיתי את הסרטון, אלא רק תמונת השער, אמרתי לעצמי שזה ממש דומה ל"מכבסות" של קאסטת הטמאים בהודו, כנראה מצאו את המכבסה המרכזית של ירושלים. לא נראה לכם ככה?
