@@Fallen86 no mod Support on console, none that I'm aware off atleast. I can use console commands though. The prime meat thing is just an annoyance that I don't understand. Just from a design point of view, I don't get it.
I wanted to tame one legit similar to this the other day but it went a very very different way just because of some bugs.. like first I placed my argentavis on a small Rock and somehow I couldnt get back on as I was leading it into my trap, I also wasnt able to wistle it to follow somehow, then I was also confused why it ran so far away without the right amount of tranq darts.. so I lost two good tames and after I knocked it out I suddenly couldnt access the inventory from anywhere so it woke up and killed me the second time too.. I ended up being so frustrated since I really planned everything well and then those small troubles came and ruined all.. its insane. I tamed it by command after it woke up cause I didnt want to accept that. I will try even better for the second giga I want so that I can breed them together :/ but man I didnt feel happy at all
Bro you’re shooting the tranqs too fast. You gotta wait about 5 seconds between each shot to maximize the effectiveness of the tranqs. And also bring metal to repair the gun on the argy. I appreciate you showing how damn difficult it is tho! Nice work!
Tamed my giga without a trap. Have a Griffin and was airborne most of the time. Then the giga got stuck on a rock. Named him Jesus after a joke my dad told me.

It’s not worth it personally it takes a while it’s dangerous and takes up a LOT of space and if it takes too much damage it goes nuts and kill you destroys your base and kills your tames
How long did it take for you in real time to get this big guy? I got my first one last night and my second today. Both low level but I don't care, hopefully a female will come along later in the highlands.
You'll need full set of fur armour to survive, or you can tame an otter and pick it up to put it round your neck, it keeps you warm instead of having to craft loads of extra fur. Find a breeding pair and you can always replace it if you die. I never leave my base without one now!
If you type in your commands 'destroywilddinos', it will kill all wild dinos, then if you leave the area and come back dinos should start respawning again 😊
Im planning on taking a Giga later tomorrow, should I build a trap or take the high ground, and should I use a dinosaur that runs fast or a dinosaur that flies?
You can tame megalania first and then use it to stick to ceiling and tame him for example, you need to be really high tho (you can shoot from megalania) but you would need to build platfrom to be able to be above him and hope he just wont destroy it and you wont fall down

Anyone know the % damage needed on the longneck for a solo tame? I'm going to build a reusable trap (4x4 with 3 high walls and a ramp) I have 300 shocking tranq darts but my highest % longneck is like 320%.
So me and my tribe got killed by it while tying to tame it then we went back for it but its was gone we have checked every mountain that they spawn on any tips to get them to spawn in please respond I’m on xbox btw
For the love of god can’t find the giga at all on the island. I’ve flown all around the mountain areas and even try to purge all the Dino’s along the way and still no giga.
Try using the ‘destroywilddinos’ command. Sometimes the giga might spawn inside the mountains this will wipe all the creatures and hopefully spawn a giga
Sometimes they don't spawn I think it's abit of a bug in some games. Beat thing to do is a 'destroywilddino' command to reset wild dinos and hope it respawns with the rest of them
Same thing my man. Press Start, Press RB LB Y and X together to bring up your commands, then type in 'Destroywilddinos' and that will kill all wild dinos. Give it a couple of minutes and all the wild dinos will respawn again 👍
Gigas my fav I still prefer it to the charcha but can not wait for the Griffins too I love them Double GG gigas and Griffins 😊I lost 2 wyvern snd and Argy taming a level 145 on Ark ascended but I got it .

The torp damage stacks on long neck rifles. It's more effective if you pelt them until they get bloody then take it slow

No I'm afraid not. No DLCs or extras just basic day 1 Ark but its definitely worth it brilliant to play handheld on the go!

Yeah it's the game is programmed to have only so many dinos spawned in a once if you kill them all it resets the dino count

Giga is only known for being bigger because of a single jaw bone. It was not more muscular or more powerful. The T-Rex would have destroyed the Giga.

I took a 500% longneck and it took 15-20 minutes to tame, so i suggest atleast a 400% damage longneck. The higher % the better.
