  • Sarah was a healthy 22-year-old when she started experiencing strange symptoms. After recovering from a serious bout of malaria during a study abroad trip, she continued feeling extremely fatigued and noticed she was very pale. Despite being on iron supplements for months, Sarah's severe anemia persisted. She found herself exhausted and fatigued.
After nearly 6 months of tests and no answers, Sarah's doctors ran bloodwork and she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare blood cancer.

This was amazing because her journey was extremely similar to mine. And after hearing her, I don't feel alone or as if something is wrong with me. Now I now this could the Myeloma journey for lots of people and that's not absurd, like some think.
So, thank you for sharing her journey and wish all cancer patients and especially Myeloma patients much strength, healing and health in Jesus name 🙏🙏🙏

It's concerning how so many younger people are being diagnosed with multiple myeloma. It is no longer an old person's disease!
Hopefully research will soon find a cause and and ways to prevent progression, if not a cure! ❤️

Median survival under age 40 in a study was 14.5 years and 22 is Incredibly young she is alive 18 years later ?

@@AmnigagghI don't understand your question. I was referring to the fact how multiple myeloma has long been called an "old person's disease", but she was only 22 at diagnosis and I am hearing of more and more younger (than the 65+ demographic) being diagnosed. It obviously can no longer be called that because it is not just old people diagnosed.
My brother was 47 at diagnosis, middle age but certainly not "old". Now I in my 50's with a precursor to MM, not young but not "old", either.

She partially gave the answer to your question. Her immune system was inadequate to prevent onset of the cancer. This is a primary key factor. You might be familiar with immunotherapy that used patient’s defense mechanisms to fight cancer. How do we ensure that our immune system is robust? We need animal proteins and animal fat. What we eat matters.

Hi! If you are dealing with this as well: please try gratitude. I've read one Jewish book about gratitude: people wrote about how they didn't have something, wanted it so much, and they started practicing gratitude for about half an hour/hour each day. And they got what they wanted! Heavens are very generous. Remember this please: 'Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.'

I don't think that it is alright for me. I have to see my haematologist in December and despite having smouldering IGA kappa multiple myeloma with symptoms for years I don't know whether I will be taken seriously or not.

I hope if u feel that your doc isn’t into caring for you as a real person, who needs help, and it’s serious, that you get into the review websites , and find the reviews stating that the doc is caring and has a genuine interest in his patients. There’s more than google for reviews of medical ppl.. I hope u find THE BEST!

One lovely comment, not mine: My husband had a stage 4 lung cancer, and doctor said he would only have few months to live. We have changed our live style together by changing our diet (Whole food plan base diet), exercise, and be in the sun for about 1 hr/day. To our surprise, his tumor in the brain shrink then disappear in just 2 short months. His doctor had no words on how we could reverse cancer naturally.

Please read the comment under Martina McBride's ' In My Daughter's Eyes' video: My mom recorded a cover of this song for me and it took years before I could listen to it. Then it took a long time for me to be able to listen without crying. She got H1N1 back in 2009 when there was a huge break out of it. She was hospitalized and pit in the ICU 6 weeks before my 6th birthday and my little sister was only 1 1/2 at the time. The doctors told my dad and my grandparents to start preparing for her funeral because they didn’t think she was going to make it. So we prayed. Then not long after that on my birthday (September 27) she slipped into a coma. So we continued to pray and a few days later our prayers were answered as she began to get better. About a week or two after that she was home and on the mend. It was a true miracle and I don’t have a doubt in my mind that God had heard our desperate cries and answered them. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have her today. Praise the Lord.

What I can't understand is that when they did your bloods, your red blood count should have have shown markers. Drs are just too ignorant and bland it on everything else.

A standard FBC (full blood count), does not show cancer. If it did, no one would ever need biopsies.
