Hi, @Lingardy, DLA does not allow drop shipping. If you win contracts in Sam.gov for products you may be able to use the drop ship strategy. You would just need to give your supplier the address and details. 99% of the time, with Government Contracting, it's better to have the supplier ship to you, to ensure the order is correct. Many suppliers don't know or understand Government Contracting. I hope that helps.
After a huge reorganization, Fed Biz Exchange is back online and even better! We have a new and improved website, fedbizexchange.org. We have a free course, additional courses, consulting options, and so much more. Please take the time to visit our site, leave a comment, or ask questions. Stay tuned for more videos that will be put out at least twice a week. For a limited time, we also have #AskMichelleB, which is at least 30 minutes with me live on UA-cam. You can post and ask questions while I answer on the spot. I'm excited and hope to see you there!
I'm just starting with an office supplies company. I focus on motivational supplies, would the federal government be interested in that or the plain jane yellow sticky notes, black pens type of supplies?
Hi Reina, the Federal Government would be interested in both. Generally speaking , when you say motivational supplies, sometimes the Federal Buyers put that category under promotional items. But overall the answer to your question is yes, either way there are opportunities for your company. In fact, some of your opportunities could even be under Marketing & Advertising the videos I posted yesterday show those businesses also sell office supplies as marketing items. You just really need to know what categories the Buyers are using, regardless of the Agency. In the videos, I gave you some of the NAICS codes and PSC codes used, but you may need to do just a little more research to narrow it down and then look for the bids once you understand how the Federal Buyers are posting the bid/solicitations. Hope that helps! Michelle
That's great Reina! That's what we like to hear because the opportunity, money and the setup is there for small businesses to get their share of Federal contracts. We are with you, please let me know if you need any further information or assistance. Michelle B.
Do you have a video on drop ship strategy for office/restroom supplies, etc.?

Do you personally help women to get government contracts?
Do you offer consulting services for individuals starting off on a more one to one level?

Question: is it more efficient or not to run specific competitors info from USA spending, FPDS or elsewhere?
It's best to run competitors info from USASpending first. You get a full picture of your competitors winnings, NAICS, PSCs, revenues and profile!
@@FedBizExchange Thank you Michelle
