Morning Tim, the real Tenerife. What a pretty little village. We drove up to Puerto de la Cruz last year and had a lovely drive through the mountains. Going the other way we found a lovely little village Tajao with some delightful fish restaurants. All the best.
Good Morning Tim and Christine, I think this one of the best drive around you had done along with the wonderful music. This is Area we have never visited but seems like a typical Tenerife Village/ Town and we will put it on the list for next time. The pleasure you are bringing to us exiled Tenerife lovers is so important. Thank You soo much and love to you both.
Love your drive arounds ,takes us to the town's people don't always go if they are beach lovers, i spent many years holidaying on Tenerife and thought i'd seen a lot but it seems i haven't ha ha ha
Wow thanks for this one Tim, it brings back good memory's as we did a very similar drive around and parked up in the carpark at the top of the hill that you passed and walked down to the church square. We also had a good walk around Guía town and it really is beautiful, a very Spanish feel to it, we love alto explore the towns and villages away from the coast, our favorite is Santiago del Tiede and also Vilaflor.
@@TimothyDowd Is it not Summer there all year round lol? Tim I would suggest you go to Santiago Del Tiede in the Spring when the Almond Trees are in full bloom, its an amazing sight especially around the church square.
@@markrobertmurphy4876 we tried that route but the tour for disabled people was full, and was eventually cancelled before we could go... next year maybe
@@TimothyDowd I hope you get to go Tim, but anyway the village itself is beautiful with some great little Spanish restaurants, we go to one place that do fantastic arepas.
Great drive around Tim! It’s years since we’ve been up there &; don’t remember it being so big. Must add to the list for our next trip out. Keep up the great work. 👍
Love your drive around tim , have to say very funny start with that music and then your smooth voice it's like one of those skits on TV where the guy is sitting on a high stool wareing brown bell bottoms a turtle neck+ gold chain introducing a jazz set Thanks for sharing sorry about that 👍
When I'm there that's what I love to do just drive around off the beaten path finding these types of places it's lovely , you mentioned the trees also down in the coast I find the trees are so well shaped and looked after I always wanted to know what type of trees they are , anyway enough rambling on thanks again for sharing keep it coming and hope you are both well and loosing a few pounds 👍
Yes a great drive around. I do love these. Loose yourself in a new destination and very professional commentary 👍🏻😁 good tunes too. I would live somewhere like that if I was ever lucky enough to have the opportunity, although an MS sufferer myself, remitting relapsing, could be a challenge 😓♿. Well done Tim. 👍🏻👏🍺🍺
Thank you Mark, hope you make the opportunity soon, no one else is going to open it up for you...in the mean time it’s my pleasure to bring these places a little bit closer... stay safe...

It depends on what you want out of the community. If you want to integrate into local life then some Spanish is required. You will probably learn faster here because you have to. You could also find a clique who speaks English and be quite comfortable but limiting.
@@dianparrotta2118 you have to ask yourself what do you want to do basically, if you were daily routine is walking into the village doing a bit of shopping stopping for a drink or two going home and cooking. Then every village is fine. If you want, nightlife and excitement, then may be a tourist area is better. Remember, you can always get a taxi to a tourist area but you can’t get away from a tourist area if you live there😜
Once you’ve decided on which visa you’re going to get, then is probably easier to find out what you need to do to make a living. If you have savings then you can come on a non-lucrative visa but if you’re going to work, that’s harder if you’re not European, do you both have Irish passports?

Not yet... the new rules will be published later today or tomorrow, and it covers everyone, not just Brits... more speculation tonight at 5:55
Tim are there British owned pubs and cafes there? Is there English speaking communities living up there or are there only Spanish speakers???
I’m sure there are a few English speakers, but more likely better integrated than down on the coast.

You wouldn't want a big car with those narrow streets or something you want to keep in mint condition lol
