Nice going. This was my childhood. The biggest I ever caught on the first lake was 10.4 pounds. Also caught in the weeds. I usually went to the Spillway. I'm not too fond of the weeds. My favourite lure is the purple spinner bait. Thanks for posting. The best fishing game ever made.
Been playing this game for a while now (25 years) and landed a 13,02 yesterday at the first lake on my Super NT , thought it was the biggest ever as i already had a few 11 and 12 but never a 13 , well you got a bigger one m8 , good job
God this takes me back. Such an awesome game. I remember constantly just finding a Lunker and then just straight up snagging his ass with the deep diving lure. I swear they never bit any time, I'd just hook thier backs or some part with while reeling over them Good times.
@@Darcvigilante At the time we couldn't figure it out. I downloaded the game after watching your video, played it again, caught my first fish within a half hour.
So two things: One is I exclusively use that 6th lure that dives when you reel in and I swear it has the best rate of attracting the bass. Two is I've NEVER seen that 3rd Tier Bass in the first lake, I've only seen them in lake 2 and beyond. I'm really glad you put this up so now I can really try to find them on my next go
I’ve never seen a tier 3 bass either until now. I was watching this video because I started playing and thought I lost my flare to the game. Went to spill way and it’s 3pm ingame. I found that tier 3 as I was watching this video. It’s amazing and really rare if im just now finding one as an adult. 11.3 lbs
I rented this back in the day when the SNES was a new console, and I really enjoyed it. These days I am using an emulator, and I still enjoy playing it. I beat the game a few months ago, and I am starting a new one tonight. It's so fun when you see a lunker in the shadows and finally get it to take the lure, but so frustrating when the line snaps! I also hate it when I lose my lures because I cast too far out. Agh! I'm not into playing multiplayer games online in general, but it would be fun to play a tournament against real people, or maybe with an Oculus Rift?
I've been stuck on this game forever. It is so damn hard. I started trying to beat it in January of 2022. I'd love some pro tips on just how to get through it. My best has been getting to the 2nd lake but I can't beat it. 😅
Best best is to watch my full play through on this channel and try doing those strats. TLDR: Go from spot to spot looking for lunkers, cast in the middel (where you start) far left, and far right in each spot. If no lunker move on to a new spot rinse and repeat. GL!

Just caught a 14.10 lb bass on the first lake
Do you have any advise for keeping them on the hook. About every other fish I hook shakes it.
It can be rough. Sometimes there’s nothing you can do but, pull hard if they start to roll. Risky but more likely to keep them on.

Wait until the very moment you hear the sound then hookset. I do it too sometimes.
