      When he went to Mecca, he saw the millions of pilgrims from all around the world with different colors. He worshipped with them, he ate and slept with them and he understood real islam. This completed his long life journey of change and maturation. I believed he reached inner peace and that’s why that man embodies greatness

    When Malcolm X smiles you can see and feel the genuine love and sincerity he has in his heart. He wanted his people and eventually all people to respect each other in brotherhood. He died while still believing that. RIP brother Malcolm .

      @@gaialea6061 He abandoned NOI after he made pilgrimage, where he discovered the true Islam where they believe Muhammed is the last prophet and NOT Elijah, neither was Elijah a messenger but someone who was using it for their own gain thus changing his way of thinking. Long story short, his faith in Islam grew stronger which went against certain teachings of Elijah.

      I agree on your first sentence, however, I do not think going through the UN was or is a viable solution simply because the UN has no real power. In addition, the only international institutions that have any real power are largely run by the USA and other imperial powers.

      He said, if blacks vote for liberals/democrats you're a traitor to your race. Republicans fought for civil rights, believe it or not. Republicans, not democrats, fought for black peoples right to vote. Democrats voted NO on every single piece of civil rights legislation that republicans introduced to congress. Democrats voted NO on the DEsegregation of schools. Don't forget, segregation was a Jim Crow law. Joe Biden voted for Jim Crow laws. Research the Southern Manifesto. Just a reminder, AOC is a democrat, and ran as a democrat. Then started calling herself a Democratic socialist.

    This man sounds like a lawyer more than a freedom fighter. He knows how to enunciate like a professor, like a news reporter. Perhaps because he was an avid reader. He truly loved knowledge and books . Reading and comprehension was his forte, and he knew how to use education to his advantage.

      I read dictionaries and thesauruses because of this man when I was a child. My vocabulary is broad. I articulate my words accordingly. People think I'm a know-it-all because of this. That wasn't the case. The same information that I acquired and brother Malcolm acquired are there for ANYONE to acquire and learn. People, the latter generations especially, are just lazy and stubborn. Ignorance is NOT bliss. It's a curse.

    This man is so thoughtful and profound. I am so thankful for his existence. His thoughts and words resonate so powerfully today. It is beyond disconcerting that so many years after his assassination humanity has yet to evolve to his level of clarity (and that of those like him).     Legendary stuff... He is the bar that legends should be judged by. I am intrigued by his intelligence and the commitment to make the world a better place for all human beings. His tongue and knowledge was so powerful. His use of the English language and ability to convey the truth of the state of america at the time was so eloquent that the US had to silence him.

The format of this excellent, long running Canadian program WAS to interrogate the guest; and the the guest, and the audience, understood and appreciated that format. This came from a time when people weren't such thin skinned children and were willing to be tested about our beliefs and knowledge.     he spoke in such a way that they KNEW this was a person not to be trifled with. Although I have been an atheist for 50 years, I have always respected and admired him. I am not arrogant enough to blame religion for all of our problems, and this was a man who was searching for solutions. He just did it in a way that pissed some people in the power structure off, and he paid the ultimate price for it. So much the worse for all of us.
