He never beat Anybody of any note. And got smashed every time he fought anybody regarded as a good fighter. The likes of Lewis, ibragimov and Klitschko all beat him. All in all, there is no argument that Shannon was ever a top 15 heavyweight at the time. Regardless of his first round knockouts, or his status as a two time word champion. He also held the WBO belt, which at the time, was much more lightly regarded than the other sanctioning bodies.
