Thank you Havilah and Wendy!!! Your talk is life giving to me!! I cannot thank you enough for being vulnerable and transparent. I'm actually in tears because I need to hear the things you shared. Thank you❤❤❤
Really encouraged by this podcast thank you. Really spoke to some very specific challenges for me and I was amazed as you addressed things I think about but I’ve never heard anyone else speak on. ❤
I heard someone else share recently that the majority of conflicts at the core stem from a violation of principal, that all of us embrace principles, and whether we violate them or somebody else violates them. This is what makes moving on more difficult, but godly principles As you're saying, can govern how we navigate what we feel and navigate our responses, because we can do it from a place of divine wisdom and hope
The idea of rehearsing a testimony... I guarantee you in biblical times, especially the Old testament when they retold stories, this is what was happening. They were gaining momentum from the past and God's faithfulness - bringing/speaking it into their present. I feel this is a revelation from the Lord right now as I'm typing this. The distractions in our modern world keep us from doing this very thing. In the past, people would sit around and talk to their families about God's faithfulness and what He did for them, (i.e. parting the Red Sea). There was nothing to distract them like their phone or the television. They were staring at the stars in the sky and they were knowing their Creator. Rehearsing a testimony, using your imagination, is a lost art that must be regained.
You see that all through the Bible, as the israelites would remember the works of the Lord, all through the psalms, stirring, they're heartset to remember his faithfulness, his covenant, love, how he delivered them. How he protected them on and on
I’m about to start a new donuts&Coffee Ministry at my church on Sunday:) And I’m super excited about it:)thank you Jesus for Everything:)@Havilah Cunnington Speaker&Writer

“In bondage of emotions” sounds quite shaming actually, and most probably means living in trauma
