In the 2004 NBA Finals, the Detroit Pistons defeated the Los Angeles Lakers to claim their third NBA championship in franchise history. Shaquille O'Neal, who led all players with 21 dunks, averaged 26.6 points on 63.1 percent shooting during the five game series. Chauncey Billups, who had as many dunks in the NBA Finals as he did for the entire 2003-04 regular season, walked away with Finals MVP honors after averaging 21 points and 5.2 assists while shooting a blistering 47.1 percent from three.
As an interesting dunk-related sidenote, Devean George was the only Laker besides Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant to register a dunk in the 2004 Finals, doing so in the first half of the final game of the series. In contrast, eight different Pistons recorded at least one dunk during the same span.

That dunk at 7:59 from Kobe was one of my favorites!So underrated, I guess due to nobody caring because they lost but he switched hands in mid air on the dunk so smoothly 🔥🔥
