Imagine by Pentatonix may be one of the most important videos of this century. This group took a classic song of tolerance and peace and modernized it as only they can. They are a perfect example of what respect and love can be like. Five people with differences in race, religion, gender, and sexuality can do beautiful things when they work together. I cried when I saw and heard this the first time. I still usually tear up when they go into Wall of Sound mode. Unfortunately Pentaholics are the ones who need to see this the least.
There are two bass representations in this song. When the group's actual bass Avi (with the beard) starts the song with his solo, the blonde Scott (usually a baritone), fills in for the bass line. Avi does bass all other times. So basically, there are two "bass men", as you call them. That's why you might notice slight differences with each of their bass runs.
I agree that they are absolutely exceptional - the best in their field. However, this is an official video and the audio would have been recorded in a studio, that they are lip-syncing to. In the studio, they would be wearing headphones and would be given a click track in their ears. As well, the audio track would have some production elements to it to ensure that all the individual tracks from each artist line up exactly in the beginning. That is not to say that they cannot do this otherwise, but even in concert live, they have click tracks in their in-ears to help them establish and maintain a tempo. If they are doing something in an off-the-cuff manner or without microphones/in-ears, you will usually see one of them count out the beginning, even if it is just subtle. An example of this would be seen on the 4th season of the sing-off where they were invited to sing on the finale episode. They sang I Need Your Love and just as they get started singing, you can hear Kevin (I believe) count out the one, two, three to get them started.
Strongly recommend Todrick Hall - The Wizard of Ahhhs, (ft. Pentatonix). Also, you should watch The Wizard of Oz first, if you aren't already familiar with the movie.
I didn't know you were doing ptx again. Im so excited!! Did you ever make that second channel where you do really deep dives into the songs? I loved the one you did that you said was originally 45 minutes long and you deleted it. several of my fellow pentaholics love the deep dives as well. Let me know if you have another channel please. I'm send you a DM on Instagram as well. Thank you so much for doing this song. I have always said if every city or even country put a big screen in a park and showed this video we would not have the problems we do now.
I think you would enjoy a few pentatonix collaborations First they actually break the acapella code but put out an exceptional arrangement with Lindsey Sterling. Two songs that really stick out are Radioactive cover and the all French Papaoutai The the brilliant reimagined Oz mash up by Todrick hall Wizard of Ahhhs. You won't be disappointed
Instead of cutting out pieces that you will miss, put a filter or copyright stamp over the video while it is playing. That seems to work for other reactors.
You do realize that this is pre recorded. You are not watching them singing it live. Basically they are lip synching to themselves or singing over their pre recorded voices. So in the studio they have click tracks etc so easy to match the tempo to start at the same time. In no way am I diminishing their unbelievable talent as they do sing this live but pretty much every video is pre recorded. Just wanted you to know.
I can't stand it when people say they are lip syncing. They are singing over a track. If you watch you can see them take breaths in when they normally would.
You do realize this is about their actual minority groups correct not just Mitch and Scott being gay? Avi Kaplan the first soloist, is the bass singer quite well known and award winning internationally for that in the acapella form and he, Kevin and Kirstie are not gay?
Unbelievable...at the very start you state that I never stop the video, then you interrupted the video a number of times...so much for your veracity....lmao !!
I love that the cards represent each one of them individually, but then as they pass them, show how they connect with next...
it adds a nice depth
This is so beautiful and powerful. It never fails to touch me.

I don't hear that.
This is as close to,perfection as it gets. I always cry at this one. Think John Lennon would be proud
Everything is tight... They strive for perfection.
Subscribed! Highly recommend light in the hallway and run to you
I love their version, so beautiful 🥰
Subtly powerful! One of my favorites!
They knew Avi was leaving and they wanted to record this
Before he
Left so they could do this presentation with the cards
I love this so much

I have seen them live and the look at each other and sound exactly the same.
Yeah, Mitch and Kirstie are a one, two knockout punch for sure❣️
Recommend their cover of Havana.
Avi voice is like butter. Put up a disclaimer & it should stop UA-cam. They try to block most African American UA-camrs.

We understand the copyright pauses. Some reactors place a film over the video. Each one used different techniques.

i didn't cut out any
❤️❤️❤️

my other videos , if you follow what I'm really saying "this is the video i will have to interrupt to avoid severe copyright infringement
