Her live mixing is definitely reminiscent of Imogen! I agree, she is truly an innovator in a genre that has remained largely the same over the past decade.

Just discovered Kimbra after hearing Sam Robson doing a cover of her "Withdraw", which is fabulous. Kimbra truly is a fascinating singer/artist. I think of all the singers I have heard, she comes closest to Teena Marie in style, talent and just sheer musical ability.
The fact you can actually understand what she is saying in such complex music arrangements is amazing. You need to be careful with this song, that deep beat is vibrating objects on my desk.
