For some reason, the drum sound always gets fucked up when bands sign to Season of Mist. Happened with Inquisition too. My problem is with the drum tone. Otherwise this is a great song.
maybe but have you heard what baptism has released with them so far? I think the drums and overall production sound great without being overly produced and I am loving the new Inquisition! *just my opinion*
Not bad but it feels like they're rehashing a lot of the same riff and musical concept ideas that they've been doing since Eternal Turn Of The Wheel. Also, will there EVER be guitar solos in Drudkh's music again? I mean, I understand that most black metal doesn't have guitar solos, but when you have players as phenomenal as Roman and Thurios (I'm assuming Thurios did some of it himself too), why the hell wouldn't you want to use that skill?
That's usually how black metal works. They go by roughly the same formula throughout most of the song, although I didn't find this one to be that bad. There's usually a chorus, a bridge, and then one other section. And that section seems to go on and on forever
It's hard to agree with you when I listen to the middle section of this song, it's very different from what they've done so far. At least I feel that way. It's a good song and made a great impression on me. But yeah, you're spot on about the solos.
Spotify gave me this today, and I didn't recognize the language :O I don't know much Russian(?), but definitely can tell when I hear it. just not in these death growls :P Anyway, I was impressed by the song!

It was based off old poetry, same as "Autumn in Sepia". They knew very well how to capture the feeling of the lyrics indeed.
