I started at 51. When I started, one of my friends said, “you’re too old for CrossFit”. That annoyed me enough to give me a little fire… challenge accepted.
I’m a 68 year old lady started CrossFit legends classes twice a week at 65 and loved the friends I met there and the coaches lost 20 kms then moved up to regular classes 5 days a week still really loved all the younger ones I’d meet and new coaches too at 67 I entered a masters comp in Australia and wondered at my own sanity but everyone just kept encouraging and supporting me and in October l won my division I’ve never been so surprised and excited in my life It just shows that we can do different things even when we’re older and I’m still going to class
Amazing story I'm so proud of you Michael 💪💪💪, I'm mum of three nearly 40 years old, five years ago I totally fell in love with CrossFit I dedicated my whole life to sport I train every single day no matter how tired I'm 😂 😂😂 every day is a new beginning for me to be a better person and better athlete ❤❤❤ keep up good work Michael 💪💪💪
I am a 64 years old woman and started CrossFit seriously from last year. I have transformed my body and have young people as my besties. It really transformed my life and I love the time spent in my CrossFit gym. I had a doubt how long I can do it but after seeing Michael, I know that I can do it till 94. Thank you for giving me the inspiration.
What a great video...got me choked up and teary eyed. I've been lucky to have done Crossfit for going on 12 years now. 7 years ago I survived a heart attack ...4 years ago I survived a battle with Bladder Cancer. In 2023 I decided to challenge myself and did 25,000 burpees while I was attending 250 Crossfit classes that year. I am so very thankful for the community at the two Crossfits that I regularly attend...the mental and emotional benefits far outweigh the physical benefits imho. Thank You Jared @ Crossfit New Lenox and Brian @Crossfit Live Oak.
I'm lucky enough to be part of Dragon Athletic and honestly, the Golds class puts us all to shame. The fact that there are people like Michael, push us all to try harder. No excuses, just turn up and train. If that's not incredibly impressive, I don't know what is.

Now nearly 73, started CF at 58. My experience has been much like Michaels. I'm on the "delay the decay" program, and having lots of fun on the way!
Michael's story is incredibly inspiring! Fantastic work by the Dragon Crossfit team building a community that supports all people!
The owner/coach at CF Riverside loves to say that one of his goals is to have a bunch of badass 90 year olds at his gym. I love a story like this!

I was just thinking that he's really strong to be able to do that.

Be mindful of saying "regular members."
Great story! We have an Ageless Movement class for 55+ similar to their Golds class. @CrossFit Williamsville ❤❤
