Perfect example of why i love this company. Never see any other knife companies going out in a field stabbing random shit to display how sturdy their knives are. He is having genuin fun doing this and it puts a smile on my face.
Unfortunately, if its benchmade it would be "DNC blacklisted/ illegal 🚫 knives" made from legal firearms confiscated through "RED FLAG LAWS"! Benchmade SUCKs, very over-priced anyway...
One thing that I have always admired about Cold Steel is that when they make a knife and showcase it; They always talk about how easily it could kill someone. No other company does this. At least they are very honest and because of that all of my daily carry knives have that Cold Steel logo on them. I appreciate companies being honest about their designs. The CEO show casing them like Mr. Thompson here does is another major selling point. He is not some guy sitting in an office watching profit margins, he is the true leader of the company. He designs a lot of these knives for him to fight with himself. Seriously such an amazing company. The wasp isn't quite my style so i will not be getting one but I think a lot of people really would love this knife. I peffer single edges heavier knives for multitasking purposes. It was always funny at work when the liberals saw me whip out my Espada XL to cut open a box.
I've always been a sucker for double edge daggers, and Cold Steel does them like nobody else. Tai Pan, Peacekeeper, Counter Tac, Shanghai Shadow and Warrior, etc. Keep 'em coming, guys. 👍
It's hard to not buy cold steel product when they have a owner like lynn Thompson. I love this guy. I hate seeing people rag on dude in the comments when he cares much more about the products he sends you then the ppl at these other companies. Keep up the good work lynn
He’s right, I wouldn’t want to go head 2 head with him playing Fruit Ninja. I’ll probably end up getting this knife, I already have the drop forged boot knife and the drop forged Hunter and have had nothing but positive experiences with those blades.
Even though I fully trust Cold Steel and have beaten the crap out of several of their products and know they can take it. I'm glad they show there was little to no damage to the knife after stabbing the steel to make believers out of the skeptics.
Just got mine. I wasn't expecting the sturdiness of this stout and "razor sharp" dagger! A "DAGGER"!!! There is NO BS in this video. I never seen a dagger like this. To say that I really, REALLY LIKE it... is an understatement! Getting another!!!
Lynn nice knife and I would say your company puts out some great products I remember you guys from the old gun shows and all the good deals on the tables . Keep doing what you do.
Very nice! Reminds me of the Fairbairn Sykes knife used by the British military. I have the first version of the Drop Forged Survivalist myself. A tough knife that I use for chores inside and outside my house.
I made a nice set of contoured micarta scales for mine. Which cover the whole of the handle, even the guard, now it is awesome. Made a leather sheath with a silent clasp. What a dagger!
The ability to quickly cut through ropes, straps, cords, wires, seaweed, vines could be life saving, especially if you are in a river, lake, or ocean environment. Serrations can cut through air craft aluminum.
I used to love their advertising as a kid. I got a vg1 recon tanto and we used to smash cinderblocks and car hoods with it. Just scrap hoods like all hillbillies have laying around, not those on functioning cars lol. Then I got a benchmade and gradually began to look down on cold steel. I realized my foolish error this year when I handled a code 4 and ad-15. Wow!!! Wow!! You folks make some fine knives. I promptly headed down the street to my parents garden and picked up the recon, still exactly where I left it nearly a decade ago. We had used a palm sander on the blade and recoated it in undercoating under a thick clearcoat. I ground it up with some neat jimping and cut down the handle to make it look cool, then engraved it for a bespoke zombie slaying blade for my sister for xmas. Utter waste of a fine knife but the damage had been done in the throes of youthful ignorance so what's another hour under the grinding wheel? Thinned it down under the blade to emulate some of the nice slicing power of a hollow grind so it can serve as a kitchen knife and got a polished razor edge out of it. Definitely getting myself a wasp for xmas, what a cool knife!
Another good job for Coldsteel it is like the best sentry knife since FairbairnSykes Fighting knife, I love the grooves and the design simple but very very sturdy. Keep it up team Coldsteel 👍👍👍.
Lynn is a fucking badass. Love cold steel. What he brings to the knife world is amazing. No matter what your budget is, you're getting a reliable blade.

Look at the tip at 0:45, really look at it, the point broke off, might only be half a mm, but it's broken. Now look at the tip at 0:51. And he says, 'So I stabbed it .... Sergio stabbed it through .... look at the tip ..... the tip is darn near perfect'. Is this really the same tip?
I may just buy this knife. I think the very first video i saw of Lynn was with pepper spray a long time ago, his employees were taking blasts in the face to demonstrate its effectiveness, this is what got CS a loyal customer. Lynn took a blast to the face also, the man doesn't ask others to do anything he's not willing to do himself, that gave me a glimpse into his character and i can respect that.
Thank you very much for uploading this video! Could you upload a video in which you compare the CS Taipan 3V version with the WASP, please? Thank you very much in advance.
I really need this in my collection..I currently have no fixed blade daggers, the only dagger knives I own are a couple OTFs and a single edge dagger blade Boker Kalashnikov 74 auto...this is just one of many I need in my collection
Americans are so lucky that they can get Cold Steel knives so cheap, us europeans have to pay about double the price. But i absolutely love them, i have the large voyager, 2 american lawmans(best edc knife ever made-)and a recon 1 tanto is on the way.Recon 1 spear point and the bush ranger are my next targets Also i love Lynn Thomsons style absolute alpha i would trust a man like this 1000 times more than some snake in a suit
Please change the tip geometry on the SRK back to what it used to be. I purchased a new one in order to replace a lost one. And the tip is much more fine and much more easily broken.
I do believe I'm going to need a few of these bad boys Had anyone thrown them? Tip retention looks promising in that application, but i am surprised it didn't make it in the video. After all, they throw shovels like 'hawks
I was MEH until I saw Lynn stabbing through the ammo can. Buying one. But make this as a small tac short sword with a 15-17 inch blade and attachable hilt guard.

Still waiting for the cold steel pizza cutter
I can imagine the promo video would be Lynn cutting the top off a Buick lol
You know it'll cut 200+ pies, before needing to be sharpened.

Those are a great line up!
The jumbo sized Shanghai Warrior, Smatchet machete, and old school Warhead, are also great double edge blades!
Don't forget the hideout! Scandi ground dagger, ground perfectly, insanely sharp and pointy!
I don't need another damn knife,

Thank you Lynn Thompson!!!

Fairbairne-Sykes, meet the new century.
@Siward Beorn & all of them would be proud of that modern day design 👋👏👋👏👋 Oh Yeah Boi 😎🎱

I don't need this one but I love my FGX Wasp. Well done Cold Steel !
How can anyone not like this guy???
Hopefully a Serrated one will be available eventually. I know the FGX one is Serrated but a metal version would be Awesome
Why the hell would anyone need a serrated version of this kind of knife?
They should
The ability to quickly cut through ropes, straps, cords, wires, seaweed, vines could be life saving, especially if you are in a river, lake, or ocean environment. Serrations can cut through air craft aluminum.
Cold Steel would have to change their serration pattern. The current pattern is far too delicate for heavy use.
