This is just sloppy video editing and speaks volumes about the lack of any journalistic integrity of the people involved. UA-cam is awash with fake videos and this is just one more example.

Took a trip to Palawan once. We were supposed to stop at a mini island and eat lunch, but we were delayed by a giant monitor lizard on the beach. We waited half an hour for the thing to just get bored and scurry away. I still remember looking at the thing and asking my brother “hey did you know Komodo dragons are out here in the Philippines???” While pointing at the beast I was in awe of seeing a wild Komodo dragon yet scared shitless if the thing decided to rush our boat.
