That'll still work perfect. If you go with the SSD upgrade, you can set up a swap file which will be utilized when the RAM is maxed out. It's not as fast as RAM, but it still works well. I use it on VPS's when I don't want to pay for the higher hardware specs.
Glad to hear! There will be a few more basic videos still, just so I can have something to reference back to in the app setup videos. But soon enough there should be some guide videos.
@@sideofburritos Everything has been a really solid experience with no problems whatsoever. And thats after going through some serious trial-and-error attempts with it (formatted my microsd a couple times to try different values, swapped arm_freq values to random values to see what would happen, ran some tests with it plugged to an external battery, etc). Pretty sure it can last a couple more years, even if its ethernet input is showing signs of worn. (Internet speed is still fine tho.)
pi + phole + unbound = privacy. Pump through Mullvad VPN for network wide DNS anonymity. I love the Pi4, too bad the price has jacked on these wonderful little servers.
Great video I’m just learning raspberry pi now. I’m wanting to set up a rtk basestation for rtk corrections. I’ll be watching more videos for sure
I bought the 2gb 😢. That's all microcenter had available at the time. Price $40 bucks.

2:10 "that's what she said" lol
I'm glad someone caught it 😂
I'm looking forward to more videos on the selfhost topic and especially on how to get NextCloud up and running yourself.

Thank you..nice name btw
I bought the big one back when they were $80
You got one hell of a deal.
Bought mine since 3'ish years ago and its now serving me as a router/ad blocker/firewall/playing a live stream 24/7.
Nice! Have you had any hardware issues with it in that time, or has it been solid?

Great content! Would be awesome if u install and run some blockchain node on it
Couldn't you run it with any sort of usb storage media?
is there any portable RAID 1 storage solution available for the pi4?
The most expensive video of 2023 I've ever seen.

I gave one to my friend. They are extremely high. Glad.i got my pi4 when it was available at microcenter.
pihole is slick, they nailed the interface
Bought the RPI 4 4GB when it was 80 bucks. Maybe do a video on RPI projects/uses that would be cool. Great video btw
Great content as always 🤝
Appreciate it!
