i used to go through a honer harp about every 6 months, but i've been playing a suzuki pro master for the last 5 years... there's still pluses and minuses to both i feel, but durability is way on the Suzuki side (in 1 my experience)
I agree the pro master is a great sounding and durable harp...but I also heard the pro master is a lot harder to play...a guy like me who has asthma and heart issues needs all the help he can get. Ill happily replace a worn out bluesmaster as needed without regret if it means a consistently easier playng harp.
Very helpful video. Was thinkin bout saving some money getting the Suzukis over special 20s. I get the durability thing but sonically the suzuki just doesn't hit like the special 20 does.
I have had the same Special 20s for a very long time, but, I don't play mine that hard. A lot depends on your style of playing, I am not a blues player, I play mostly country and rock, and I play mostly single notes.
It is not about how loud it is but about quality. Those Hohner harmonicas disappointed me many times. Suzuki is better and for many reasons. Never buy Hohner it can break very fast.
If you’re breaking Hohners you’re playing too hard. The reason you like Suzuki better is because they have stiffer reeds and compensate for folks that play too hard. It takes very little air to play strongly.
Man you played
so well!
Keep us updated with your Suzuki experience. Thanks!
+Vitiuxa I have to really love the Suzuki Manji because it has some qualities of a wooden harp, with smoothness of a "plastic" harp.
interesting comparison. thank you.
Perhaps next time mount the camera on a stand, or books to steady it.
Cheers, don
Yea, sorry about that.
I agree about the Special 20s wearing out and being loud...

@@marvinstephanie2085 just like me
You want to sell any of your old harps? I’m a harp tech and am always looking for parts.

How long did it take for the brass reeds to break?

Hello how to know the original harmonica special 20 ?

awesome :D
Update please. How long did it last vs the special 20
Thank you
Something about the Special 20 grabs me...
Is that the Special 20 classic or progressive? Seems the classics are harder to find these days
special 20 has the edge here defo.
special 20
The only reason I am buying this one is because it's not made in Germany. It's not because it's cheap 😂. I just don't want German products
Ambucure needs work. Poor tone from both
Embouchure‘
Agreed. That, and breathing technique.
awesome :D
