Well, I've absolutely no clue about why the international juries didn't choose this song. Even though it probably wouldn't have beaten strong entries as Norway, Sweden, Ireland and Estonia, it was far better than many other entries that year, e.g. the Finnish one (which took the last position, as well...)
And following the song was a huge hit for MLTR. "Paint my love"
