I hope you can leave here permanently. I can see the kids can adapt so easily. Maybe its time for them to learn more tagalog words and for the rest too.
Am happy to see Papa Sergei has already recovered from high fever,I think he's still adopting the Philippines weather, so far the kids ,sister Liza they are doing great,Andrei had dhearea, Mama Olga got back pain and Papa Sergei went for his ear check up.I hope you guys stay safe and always well❤Take care always ❤❤❤❤❤
Yes you can also grill the eggplant and corn ,we also had a grilled corn here in Philippines, and the grilled eggplant can be also cook as tortang talong
There is no right or wrong.... eating it with rice will make you feel full, while eating it without rice will make you want more... at the end its still up to whose eating it
Yes,rice is life..just eat it in moderation😊 Good thing Papa Sergey is ok now. Simple easy tips when burning charcoal: put it on top of the grill first then lit the dried leaves under the iron grill so that the fire can go up and burn the charcoals easily and faster.😊 Enjoy Andrey and fam😊💖🇵🇭
So relieved and happy to see Papa Sergei up and about and normal already! Was a bit worried about the delay in uploads, but all is well! Might have been just a flu. Hope Papa Sergei quits smoking soon. If bothered by mosquitoes, you might want to use the mosquito net sent by a subscriber when you sleep at night (and buy extra, if needed), and use mosquito repellent like neem oil and citronella candles and oil (better than Off!). Enjoy the grill - which will see lots of use, to be sure!
Pro tip next time you get pre-packaged barbecue: cut open one corner of the plastic bag (stick side) and pour some marinade directly into the bag. Keep the bag with the meat and marinade upright and vertical in the refrigerator and leave it overnight to soak up the flavor.
now that u have a griller u can also grill fish 😊 try it bangus or tilapia (w/scales intact) add magic sarap & put inside slices f onions & tomatoes. slice 🌶️ & ginger may b added depends on ur liking (optional). wipe d whole fish with little soy sauce (toyo) for added aroma (optional) 😮 then wrap it w/banana leaves or foil then u can start grilling. 😊
Hello, folks. Glad to Sergie, up & about. Liza, missing rice made me smile.🙂 BBQ silog or barbeque, sinangag, itlog (bbq, fried rice, egg) is delicious anytime of the day. Enjoy & Stay safe.❤
Am a silent view, alway waiting & excited of ur videos Andrei & Lisa, happy to see ur family enjoying our cultures, foods, beanches,co fellow Rusdian & our country..God bless😅
i truly admire your family for being simple and of corz by appreciating our filipino food and traits. GOD bless higala/amigo (mindanao-cagayan de oro's term for beloved/cared friend). GOD bless your family and enjoy the stay. :)
Andrei, you and your family are honorary Filipinos! I was wondering about the rice, too. What's a Filipino meal without the most important side dish? 😊 I'm glad to see that Sergei recovered from his illness and his ear problem. I hope Mama Olga's eye has improved. Happy All Saints Day.
Ig you have a paint brush brand new.. get a glass put a soy souce kalamansi then black pepper powder sugar crush garlic and oil..put it together...more sou souve and oil and sugaric it very well..put magic sarap..during grill wipe the brush with that souce untill cooked...
In our province, well we used traditional ingredients such as coconut vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar or honey, cornstarch, garlic and home grown spices as our marinade to soak the meat for a day put in a ref.. on a next day, we do some cooking a barbecue, the sauce left from a marinade we use that by stirring with palm oil and use to do some brushing the meat while in a process of cooking 😊😊😊
The marinated sauce you can add a little cooking oil and Catchup and brush it while roasting to more tastier the pork barbeque...and not to look dry...
Good morning Andrei and awesome family ❤ your bbq looks very tasty and everyone eat happily. So happy to see papa Sergie back on his good health!!! I hope and pray that, may all of you be healthy away from any sickness and just keep on enjoying your every minute here in the Philippines. ❤❤❤. Looking Forward to your Mama Olga's bday celebration 🎂🎂🎂🎉💐💗
Try to marinate pork with calamansi or lemon, soy sauce, knorr liquid seasoning, ginisa mix powder, salt & pepper, minced garlic, sibuyas ( optional), yummier if you marinate overnight in the ref.
All our prayers for Sergei and whole family were answered as they are feeling much better as I can see they just love to live the Filipino way of a simple lifestyle God bless them and so are our kababayans who are so generous and kindhearted 🙏✝️
Ha....ha....ha....rice is really life in the Philippines sister Liza....Barbeque is more masarap if you dip it in a sawsawan with toyo, kalamansi and red chili....so happy seeing you eating together...Stay safe as always
You can grilled eggplant, corn, and some marinated fish like boneless bangus . Marinate the fish with soy sauce, calamansi, put a little salt and black pepper
Good dipping sauce for BBQ is a combination of soy sauce, vinegar, chopped onions, garlic, crushed black pepper, crushed black pepper, chili peppers. Some add ketchup to the mixture.
I add Tocino seasoning in my BBQ marinade. It gives that extra char&red color that you see from the tocino. There's enough tutorials for the filipino bbq recipe but typically marinade/sauce has 7up, banana ketchup, sugar, bay leaf&garlic. Again i add the tocino seasoning with the marinade. Not sure if u have aluminum foil but u can put it on half of the bbq grill so that u can place the sticks on it so that it wouldn't get burned.
Can be also. Corn grilled, and Saba Banana little ripe on stick can be grilled..auf already cook wipe margarine and coat with sugar. We call that( GINANGGANG) for Snacks.
Also marinade bbq to mama sitas bbq marinade for overnight before you grill. You can add catsup mixed with few cooking oil and use a small paint brush to smear it with the bbq while you grill. It makes the bbq so tender, juicy and tasty.
Happy to see you try to cook barbeque.. And surely you all wud enjoy it the way you prepared it.. Marinated with spices needed.. Happy saturday morning🎉🎉🎉
Grilled ripe banana (saba variety the one for cooking) is also yummy ...you may brush with butter or margarine before eating & while hot . You may also try ensaladang talong recipe or eggplant salad with coconut milk. More aromatic if eggplant is cooked thru grilling. Same also with tortang talong or eggplant omelet . These are all simple & easy eveyday Fil dishes. Thanks for ur genuine interest 😅
A little tip. Don't discard the remaining barbecue sauce. Put a little ketchup and cooking oil on it. Then little by little, brush it to the meat while roasting.
Bbq marinade: 1cup soy sauce 1 whole lemon (juiced) or 4-6 pcs kalamansi 1TBS garlic powder or 1 ball garlic (minced) 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 2Tbs brown sugar Mix everything and pour it into your chicken or pork. Marinate at least 30 minutes For basting: I just mix cooking oil and banana catsup/ketchup 😊
I sincerely hope that you, Andrei, and your entire family enjoy a truly wonderful holiday filled with joy and memorable moments. May you all stay in good health and always be safe, surrounded by love and happiness.
We usually brush the bbq with mixture of catsup & soy sauce right before its done so it wont be dry ..each has its own mix as you can observe from bbq street sellers
andrei have a good rice is life.. if you have to cook viands for sure they have rice much better viands and rice is a partner of the meal.. like bbq and rice... its good to eat . good for full our stomach..
just make your own bbq marinade. just mix soy sauce, ketchup (tomato or banana depends on what you like), kalsmansi(put lots) garlic, black pepper, chili(optional), worcestershire(optional), onion powder(optional), sugar(optional, as needed) buy pork belly (ask butcher for grilling) and marinade overnight. no need for sticks to reduce cost
Buy washing machine with a drier. It's so hard to wash, clean & dry wet clothes during rainy season. It's very helpful to have a washing machine with a built-in drier.
My only wish is for the whole family to stay heathy, strong and safe and enjoy their vacation. Love you all.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Sergei is truly a smart guy. He knows how to do things, has good common sense🌹.
