Currently I'm using floricent lights about 2 8 feet on both sides of the room on the wall to light my room. I have been suing this for years. These lights look like the answer I'm looking for. Can you set timers on them and also put them on the network? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Tha main advance.
They are definitely bright enough to completely light up most rooms, and yes you can also set timers for these to come on and off at certain times of day. Hope this helps!

I do have one concern... since the bars are actually above the desk, do you get any glare that could be not easy to your eyes?? I mean usually the lights are bouncing against the wall so you dont get any glare tho??...
Maybe I'm just retarded but...I live in an apartment, got these for my kid for Xmas, downloaded Google Home on my phone and it's not picking them up at all. They work just fine when I plug them into the outlet in her room, but the app is NOT detecting them so they're basically just a very solid white light. Do I need to plug them into the same power strip I have my cable box on? Because that's not going to happen. Frustrated, feeling old.

Obviously there's a microphone, otherwise, it wouldn't respond to sound, and if you're going to also connect it to an "app" or whatever, then suddenly, that microphone now has a connection to the Internet and is sending everything you say and every sound it hears somewhere. Be it to the company, to China, to a server somewhere. So HUGE privacy concern if it does not work without a damn phone.

I have a few Govee products, most of the newer RGB lights they make have the option to switch between picking up sound from the built in transmitter or directly from your phone. Not sure if these work the same, mine are arriving tomorrow so I’ll know then
How can i connect them to hang in a corner between two walls? I want to fill a corner with it. Can i also use it to light up a wall? I will be hanging a guitar underneath it.
Not sure about the light strips but my Flow Bars have 3M adhesive which is a good brand. The ones on the Glide looks like they are 3M pieces with the specialty pull tabs to take them off easily. I just don't know how you will get to them to take it off. You could always use a thin piece of string (fishing line works great too) to get it off without hurting.

Very nice only thing I see is it defeats the purpose of desk backlights and you might not see the glide much if you decide to place things on the desk like your monitor or laptop etc. would look good above the monitor or a bit higher
Does anyone know how many segments you can connect to one power source? I have 14 strips and 4 corners connected and the lights only come on for 6 strips and 2 corners.
