New Beginnings | 2022 Seconds of the Day PART 1: January

Well it's clearly not new year, new me. Last as always. Only way is up from here!
The last couple of years, I've loved documenting my days with a second of each. It's also proven quite useful to remember what I did when! So I've started again; 2022 edition.
So this year hasn't got off to the best start. We said goodbye to my dearest fur baby, Chico, on the 9th of January. He was our 2 and a half year old hamster; he was very poorly but we got him for a good time more than expected and he got to be put to rest in my arms. I'm still trying to emotionally get on but it's proving harder than I could've ever imagined. However, in light of this, we decided we loved giving the best life to a small and precious being. So we picked up our new baby princess, Pumpkin! She's not Chico, that was never the intention, but she's a breath of fresh air and a new focus for us. She's a right ball of energy so we'll have to see how long before she really trusts us! She's definitely improved with the handling though, she's great at that now.
We started the year taking down the last of Christmas, eating the last of the Christmas foods and recharging. New beginnings even stretched so far as to order a new bed - ABOUT TIME...it's been broken for years! I've continued gym which I LOVE, we've gone to see new films in the cinema and I've been catching the first of the sunsets for the year. Hit and miss but often worth the cold cliff view! Of course, January wouldn't be January without a lot of duvet days and snuggles, but I did enjoy nature as normal AND even went to see the Frozen musical in London!
Mixed bag, but I can't wait to see what the other months bring
