I took the bridge plate off my Chevy m1008 army truck and I plan on installing it on my 2021 sarge green Willy's jeep gladiator's front bumper.

Love it. So basic. The best part? It's a Jeep!

I don't remember how many times I was offered an M1 carbine, and cheap, too. I do wish I still had one of them. They were super.

Looks pretty clean and solid. These trucks are so fun to cruise with the top down.

Built like a tank, no bells and whistles, unlike today's rubbish made of cardboard with all the electronics and "off-roading modes" read no-go-modes.

I was leaving Egypt in the fall of 1978 and these were stacked up like chord wood at the end of the runway, i changes about 40 headgaskets on those aluminum straight 6's, they ran terrible on the low octane jipo gasoline,,,,,

Were they stacked serviceable? Like in crates how the smaller Jeeps were shipped? Or just plum laid up?

That ones in a lot better shape than most. Most have been beat and had at least one bad paint job. Good set of real modern day tires and wheels will make it way better.

Thanks! Modern-day tires would ruin it for me. I love it how it is.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the long horizontal storage compartment is for storing the fording kit.

That would make sense. I have them, so I'll have to see how well they fit.

Always loved these trucks. Nearly bought a couple but feared parts availability on the engine. Yours looks great. You said a Bradley winch ? I've known the Braden but not noticed Bradley. Very cool. Change that oil 😆 take care of that engine

Nice catch! 😆 I noticed that I said the wrong winch when we were working on the video.
      Thanks for watching!

Old military truck. Historic artifact, I guess. I don't know why anyone would want it. I remember when I was a kid and old WWII military surplus/junk was all around, and cheap. People used to make fun of it. It if was all you could afford, I guess.k
