A great day was had by all despite the inclement weather in the morning.
Many thanks to our hosts.
Love the 5" Duchess passing the 7 1/4" driver grinning! This whole presentation is a delight!
984francis I had a grin on my face all day, it was a delight! Later I got to drive the 5" Duchess too!

Regards, Alasdair (Gauge 1 MRA member and Spamcan fan)
Wow the best railway of its kind them locos are beautiful
So these locomotives are easily pulling all' the bogies and the people, the combined weight would be around 1 Tons (1000 kgs). Mighty strong I'd say.
Thank you for uploading for all us steam heads! Is there any events coming up around the U.K. like this?
BR70038 "Robin hood" the outlaw of Sherwood forest, All the style and detail of a full size Britannia class locomotive
These are very good. Maybe if driver and engine name and number on the "about" information section would be much appreciated to myself and others.
Hello, as a visitor with a loco & coaches to prepare & operate, I'm afraid I didn't have time to collect the info. you request but I'm sure a line to our hosts in Nottingham would bring you the information you seek.
nice set-up.:)
Will you have an Atlantics playday some time?
Could someone tell me the type of train, and a bit about it, as seen at 0:34? My father gave me an HO model of that exact train, 40 years ago. Thanks.
Hi Pokie, that's a BR Standard Class 7 known as a Britannia, you can see more at:

Thanks very much Ron! Great video upload too.
How much do these locomotives weigh on average?
I sa malim vlakom putuje velika ideja
I could spend the whole day there playing passenger lol
I want to know how much one of the big A4 class locomotives cost. Anyone have a rough estimate
I would say £30,000 +
So there's Gordon and Spencer lol
Such wonderful memories!
Think of the thousands of hours put into building these locomotives. I tip my hat to all of you and your wives for their support.
Lovin' the A4 Gresley.
Thanks for joining us.
Really like the shots of the 2 Duchess's running side by side
Nick Harrison
Surely 4903 and 60034 scared each other to death! The same loco meeting her former self!!!
where could I get blue prints for a 12" gauge 2" scale 4-6-0 I love to see all the loco s running
If ever a track needed relaying it's this one, makes for an interesting ride.
Whats the official name for the colour!? Its so nice
Man that looks like fun. I wish I could do that.
Awesome machines! And they're not afraid to make them go fast!
im 13 and i want to know if there is any places where i can volunteer when im 18 (im into steam locos
Joel Bayley Hi Joel, I'm sure any of your local model engineering societies (or preserved railways) would be happy to welcome you as a volunteer. If you google for "model engineering society tracks" that gives you most of the societies with their own tracks, hopefully there's one near you.
+Only_Nightmare Try toddington... They are always in need of volunteers
