Brett is an amazing young man. We are from the same town, Paris, IL. Know him from singing in musicals at Paris High school, at the Edgar County Fair Talent show plus other area festivals and events. His dad Chris and mother Robin are very proud of him (graduated with Chris from PHS in 1974). And yes, the song Raymond was written in memory of his grandmother "Spiz" Eldridge.
Always love your reactions. Brett Eldredge is an underrated artist. However being from Illinois I'm probably a little bias. Also being from Illinois, I'd love to see a reaction to his song called Illinois.
This song makes me cry. I wonder where her real son is and why or does he come and visit her? I worked in a couple of different nursing homes. And I met a lot of lonely elderly people that family just didn't come back and see them. I've even had a few die I take care it's so sad.

Brett Eldredge is really underrated. Guy has a lot of amazing songs, this definitely being one of them.
Never apologize nor feel embarrassed for your tears. These songs really bring out the waterworks.
