I'm a 13 yr old freshman getting up @ 5am everyday of the week to cycle 5k to school to do either swimming, waterpolo or football⚽️, and this dude's acting like a big man cuz he gets up at 6:30 :/
Christian Phillips yea lmao, this kid doesn’t understand that being an adult is different. He’s forgetting his mom pays for his home, food, power, internet, school, bike, waterpolo fees, soccer fees, football fees, bus fares,driving him home, cooking his dinner, making his breakfast. None of what his kid is playing is very serious if he can play/do all three and wake up at 5am. They’re hobbies rather than focuses/expertise. This dude has college education/study, the little kid probably has to study for s couple test a year. He seems shielded, I hope he opens his eyes up to the outside world and realises that in reality, he isn’t doing any of that himself, nor does he have to proactively study or provide for himself. Lol.
I never have had breakfast during 9th, 10th and 11th grade like him. I had to wake even earlier than him at about 5:30 AM in morning cause we had school at 7:00 and unluckily i was the first to get in the school bus so never got time to have breakfast early morning. I could barely get breakfast in morning like once in a two month or so. This has been my routine since 4-5 years.
Saw guys kinda like this when I was in highschool. Dumb as a fukin rock but was decent at football so they got passes from everyone to just cheat their way through
That’s cause it was a day in the summer for a Football player. All you have in the summer is weights/conditioning in the morning and class. Which isn’t that much especially cause the class load isn’t that heavy in the summer. Once you get to fall camp you’re literally there every day from 7am-9pm for like 3 weeks straight.
Honestly his day didn’t seem that difficult, plus from experience professors are more lenient with athletes. I mean his day really didn’t even start until 8:00 and he was done by 1:30. He practiced for 2 1/2 hours, did one class, then actually got to eat had the luxury of being able to not only nap, but nap for 4 hours and have two dinners.
You have to take into account that he woke up at 06.30, when your lazy ass probably wakes up at 9 or later. Days could be tougher tho, imagine ACTUALLY studying from 08:00-22:00
How bout you try getting an athletic scholarship, and you also have to worry about academics and sports at the same time, and you have to worry about a part time job

What struggle? You're playing a sport you love and possibly getting a free ride to college, something a lot of people would wish they had. If anything, the people who have to work to pay for their way through college are the ones really struggling.

I'll make this simple then. If they aren't getting a scholarship or a full ride, why are they even playing the sport? If you say it is in hopes of one day making it to the pro league, I would respond by saying that it is their choice then. You cannot compare their choice to play a sport to someone who HAS to work to pay for their own food and school material. Not everyone gets scholarships or a full ride, true. But they always have a choice. Nobody is forcing them to play a sport in university/college.

When people talk about struggle it's because they have to balance with school work, personal life, and their body physically. A year ago i saw this video and I knew that i needed to make a change. I can now say i am a proud student athletes and not one of those lonley NARPS anymore. The student athlete life is the best life. Props bro stay on the grind
I play baseball, im in highschool, college in 2 years. I really want to play at the professional level. I dont want to go D1 for baseball because I feel like it is a TONNN of work that im not cut out for. I want to grind, and I do grind a lot, but all the studying is whats gonna get to me. Im trying to work my ass off extra hard now to hopefully skip college and go to the draft!!

I feel like D1 athletes at BIG schools or schools with prestigious programs don't get the full college experience. Sports is LIT so don't come for me. But I think not having a balance between sports and REAL college life (legit classes, work, study abroad, social atmosphere, greek life, etc) is a waste truthfully.

I feel like D1 athletes at BIG schools or schools with prestigious programs don't get the full college experience. Sports is LIT so don't come for me. But I think not having a balance between sports and REAL college life (legit classes, work, study abroad, social atmosphere, greek life, etc) is a waste truthfully.

6:55 - Wake Up/Get Ready/Eat Breakfast, that kinda shit
7:30 - Leave for school
7:45 - Arrive at school with around 30 mins to kill before classes start
8:23 - Classes officially start
11:52 - Lunch
12:34 - Classes resume
3:10 - Classes End/Head To Golf Practice
3:30 - Golf Practice Starts
5:00 - Golf Practice Ends/Head Home
5:20 - Do whatever I need to do for homework or hockey depending on the day
10:30 - Time for bed
Apart from the class difficulty, college just seems like it's going to be WAY easier... since it seems you have a ton of free time as it is being a student-athlete, and I probably won't have to deal with that shit...
