How do you properly expose slog 2 is it +2
Ypc Films yeah with sLog2 you wanna be over exposed by at least 1.5 to 2 stops. If not, you’re gonna see a lot of grain in post when color grading.

vondi no problem! Subscribe if you like the content 🙏🏾 More to come! But as far as lenses with this camera, i really enjoyed using the Sony 18-105 f/4. This was a very versatile lens for me on my shoots, being a wide and zoomed lens all in one. The lens was great for what it did, but if you wanna step up the quality glass a bit, check out the sigma 24-70 f/2.8 Sony E mount. I personally like that focal range and along with the f/2.8

Nice! Definitely get extra batteries. They go pretty quick, especially when i was shooting music videos. Vlogging on the other hand wasnt too bad, but definitely get extra batteries. I had about 6 total

I have 2 questions
I’ve been shooting football 7v7 tournaments for a while and make like up to 2 minute hype videos. What are the best settings for that? I shoot with a Sony as well. And my record settings I’ve been shooting lately have been 60 P 50 I shoot a lot of games. Also my other question is for horizontal videos what are the best export settings for Instagram because recently when ever I go to post it gets so compressed that the video all of a sudden is blurry
i would shoot 60fps or higher so you can have the option to slow down the footage in post. And for IG videos, it's really hit or miss. Some of my videos arent as sharp on there and others are and that's due to the video compression. Not much any of us can do about that. I still export a 4k video file and if im shooting a vertical video, i edit in a vertical sequence and export it in that format.

Much appreciated‼️ If you are trying to get smooth slow motion in post then use 125 most definitely. Shutter should be double the frame rate in most cases, but in cases where you are looking for a stylistic look then its really subjective at that point. Hope that helps you out🙏🏾🙏🏾

Hi Mate, I have bought this camera as a begin Videographer - some of my footage is coming out grainy or blurry. I was wondering if you had any ideas why that might be? Also do you have a good recommendation for a starter lense that will work? I currently have a sel50 F18 lense on it and I think that may be why some of my footage is coming out blurry! Any help massively appreciated man as im just trying to learn :D
What’s your ISO set at?
I only shoot in s log when I’m color grading which makes perfect sense for music videos to create a feel or a vibe thanks for the tip .. I always felt like s log was too flat
No lie i struggled with grading sLog at first, especially shooting in 8-bit. But over time i got a better understanding of how to expose my shots to make things a bit easier for me in post
@@VizwayMedia honestly my first video shoot had to be re shot because the footage was soo blown out and over exposed 🤣🤣💯 not to mention my client insisted I email him the video for him to upload and I tried to explain compression due to sending files vis email but he got what he got 🤣🤣💯 also lesson learned I had to mess up slot to actually get a workflow

How much did you sell your a6300
hey man, i use my want to film and capture audio just as they are but also want to be able to slow the footage down in post to get the nice slow mo style the camera features, what's the best setting for that? i just want clean 4k footage but when i slow it down in post to give that nice slow mo effect it seems jumpy and not smooth. i normally film straight slow motion but need audio. can you advise?
Like a slow mo performance? Where the song is in real time but they are singing it back in slow motion? A camera that shoots 48fps would be the best frame rate for that. Make sure you double the song playback by 2 when you record the performance so in post you can slow it down 50% to get it back to real time 24fps. And make sure you’re editing in a 24fps timeline too. Hopefully that helped.

You do not increase the exposure Comp to +2 when shooting s-log2?. Where can I see your final music videos?
vic sibiya yeah youre right bro. I forgot to mention that. That’ll help with properly exposing your image. Especially with s-Log2. You never wanna be under exposed with that picture profile, unless youre going for a darker look i guess. And all my work is on my page. Everything is broken into sections. @@piffsburgh6ix when i still had my sonya6300 i wad going to get the canon (ef) mount version. Because that was the one that YCImaging had. I think the canon one is more versatile than the sony one when it comes to working with other cameras. All you will need is a sony e to canon ef adapter and youre good to go

Sony 18-105 f/4 literally stayed on this camera. When i got the sigma 30mm f/1.4 i would just alternate between those 2 lenses
What made you switch over to canon my guy?! I have the A6300, trying to go full frame in the next year!
back at that time, I wanted to vlog more and sony didnt have any cameras with flip out screen. Canon was the answer, so I got the EOS R. If i would have waited a few month, I could of just copped the A7Siii and stayed with Sony.
After a few years with the EOS R, im back with the Sony gang. Rocking the FX30 as my main and the a6700 as my bts/vlog/photo camera. It's the perfect combo for me and what I do.
It's so many great cameras out now bro. Whatever you end up getting, you cant go wrong with any of these brands frfr. Just pair it with a decent lens. I use the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 with the FX30. I dont mind the crop on the sensor.

I using S log 3 in my video setting but, make some noise in shadow spot. How to fix it?
I’ve actually never used sLog3 only sLog2. I know that sLog3 is a much flatter image, so if you arent exposed correctly then youre gonna see a lot of grain/noise.
@@VizwayMedia hahaha because of that I hesitate to use S log3 when filming, I always find noise in the shadow area even though it was shooting outdoors at that time.
@@RamadhanFilms I feel you. Definitely take your time when exposing your image. Use your Histogram to make sure nothing is too far to the left (dark/shadows) and not too far to the right (whites/highlights) If your histogram is showing that it's a lot to the left or right, chances are you're under or too over exposed and that information is lost

@@MarriedBikelife yeah just do what looks best to you. It's all subjective. I do know s-Log2 can be grainy and difficult to grade if the image is under-exposed

Ian Davis based off my experience with them both, sLog 3 is a bit more flatter than sLog2 and seems to be grainer in post if not exposed properly. Both of these picture profiles need to be properly “over” exposed for the color grading/correction process. Thats just my opinion and what I’ve noticed from them both. I personally enjoyed using sLog2 when i used this camera for my music videos and creative content

I had a similar problem. I was using the PAL format instead of NTSC. From what I understand, NTSC is used in North America, while PAL is used in other parts of the world. To change that, Remove the SD card from your camera and accessing the menu. Look for the option labeled 'NTSC/PAL Selector' which should be located on the third page of the last row. Keep in mind that selecting this option will restart your camera and format the SD card. Therefore, You need to remove the SD card before proceeding to prevent the deletion of all your photos. I made that mistake, and unfortunately, I lost all my photos. So, please be careful

I think it's because of the region setting in your camera, it's either PAL or NTSC, and that changes the available modes
