I feel like this song describes Olivia perfectly. I wasn't going to put Noah in it because I wanted the main focus to be her BUT at some point I realized that Olivia saved him from the system but she also saved him from what she went through her whole life because of her genes.
Now, what I also believe is that she has reached a point where she is pretty confident that willpower is stronger than DNA but the fear is always there and it's probably always going to be. And that's why I decided to finish it with Noah.
She has fought her fight but what if at the end of the day you really can't stop DNA and, like she once said, "she's just lucky"?
That's where Noah becomes the focus. She has to fight for him now and save him from where he comes from. Whether it is his DNA itself or the fear of his DNA.
I don't know if it makes sense? Whatever dsjvnjsfnaj I could talk about this for days and never get tired but I'm gonna stop here.

Olivia Benson is proof that good can come out of any situation no matter how horrible. She's collateral but collateral beauty not damage. I know people born out of rape. Bottom line is, no matter how it came it be, a child should be celebrated. Life should be celebrated. Rape is a horrible destructive act and nothing can change that. But nothing can take away the value and light that Olivia's life brings. Good can't cancel out bad, but bad can't negate good either. Life's just not that simple.
I'm only 20 seconds in and I'm about to cry. You're so good at editing! No matter the type of video, be it humorous or sad, the emotions I feel are always strong. Olivia's story kind of hits close to home. My birth father is absent. At times I'm worried my mother sees him in me. He wasn't the best person. But I hope Liv knows what a good person she is, and that she has helped so many.
Thank you so much! And I’m sure the point of telling her story, but more in general, of tv and tv shows (especially a tv show like svu) is portraying life experiences that people can relate to and take something good out of it. Just like you did. I’m sure she knows how good she is and that she has helped a lot of people and that’s something we should all keep in mind. @@sherryrobillard9372 my mom watches this when she in I'm the living room going to sleep out there for a bit or if she has nothing else to do I started watch svu when I wa son my phone and went on nbc app decided to watch law and order svu cause bored and that's when my addiction started
I am binge watching it because I was sexually assaulted my senior year and I am still not over it. I don’t know if I’ll ever be. A few years before that I was touched inappropriately by a friend of a friend when I was 16. I like to see these survivors get the justice they deserve- the justice I never got.
Loveee this video! Olivia is the best - i watched Cagney and Lacey recently and didn’t realize how similar the characters of Olivia and Mary Beth Lacey with both of them coming from broken homes and absent fathers.
Love this. I was obsessed with Cagney and Lacey and I absolutely love SVU. I wish we had more of these kinds of role models in real life, especially for women who grew up without their mothers.
