While conducting business near Sugamo street, I noticed an unusually high number of people. It was a typical Saturday, but perhaps the crowd was related to the Setsubun holiday that had occurred the previous day. Intrigued, I decided to take a walk through the bustling street, filled with vendors selling various goods and foods. I began my walk from Sugamo station and strolled through the colorful stalls until I reached Koshinzuka station. On my way back to Sugamo station, I opted to explore the back streets to fully experience the neighborhood's charm. At the end of my walk, I treated myself to a delicious beef-on-a-stick from one of the vendors.
No cats were found 😿

I find Ramba's content to be the best work/study company. No shouty intrusive narration, no bad taste music, just raw Japan experience with organic ambience.
It is the same with me. I only often do not learn during the Videos because they are sooo interesting and beautiful to watch. 😅
Rambla literally got me through high school and is currently getting me through college and an internship at the same time. I literally owe pretty much all of my current and future success to this one man. No cap.
There's always something about market streets like this, makes me glad to see people out and about doing business. It says to me, the world is turning, no matter what.
I had a lot of fun seeing so many different stalls and shopping for or buying things all along the way.
Danke, Ich war in Deutschland.
I read Sugamo is a shopping district that caters to the elderly. The district's popular 800 meter long Jizo Dori shopping street is also affectionately known as the "Old Ladies' Harajuku" in lighthearted comparison to the Harajuku district's status as one of Japan's foremost youthful shopping and fashion destinations. The original reason for Sugamo's popularity is found at Koganji Temple halfway down the shopping street (3:02 and 37:20 in this video). The small temple is home to the popular Arai Kannon statue which is thought to help heal ailments. I do see a lot of elderly in this video walking about which I find heart-warming as Japan has one of the oldest populations in the world and it's great to see there are shopping districts in Tokyo that cater to the older folks and not just the young people.
Can’t wait❤
Love this video! Hey Ram and Sunday chat !!
I watch these videos every morning before work to start the day relaxed. So much to learn in each video. Thank you for making these.
What a beautiful day for a walk. We enjoyed the sights, sounds and scenery. There is so much to see there, Thanks for sharing, have a great week. Greetings from your friends in Naples, Florida. (Like 404) 👍💯
I love your videos. They are so immersive. 💖
oh! I used to live around the Sugamo-Sengoku area about 10 years ago, nice to see it again..
I didn't know there was a Hanamasa there, it wasn't there when I lived there...
Between Sugamo and Otsuka, Near the JR track, there is an old love hotel that looks like an aquarium from the outside, with round concave windows, tiles all over the building..
arigatou!
I love it 🗾⭐✨💖
It's not just the nice weather. I find this district very interesting. You can find everything you need to live here. And also a great market with many offers. Once again a great video.
Loved the market street, from eatery shops, clothes and accessories, jus like strolling to nostalgic charms.Inviting ending with a taste of yakitori.TQ,Ram,for an upload of interesting street scene!!!👍🙏🤗😉😋😀😍
Hello Rambalac
Such a pleasant walk 🤗 - it's nice to feel the atmosphere of the both faces of the city, the busy shopping streets with all the cool interesting people there, and the special charm of the quiet back streets. Cute trams 👋and the houses along the rails! Stalls selling things worth ''exploring''😁, and yummy food incl. your ''fiery'' beef - was it hot=spicy, too🙀 😋👍?
No, just a bit of black pepper with salt.
@@Rambalac 🤤👌
It must be really cool to walk the streets of Japan!
From 0:11 to 12:48 🛍️🛍️
Nice 🥰🤩
Hell, yeah! I was there. I loved it. I will travel again. Japan is such a beautiful country. Even tokyo. This market was near my hotel and i loved it. I miss tokyo and japan 😢
Nice close up of the grilled beef 🤤😋 such a simple pleasure to take a walk through the market and enjoy a tasty snack at the end. You've made me hungry now lol
Interestingly I was there on 17Feb Fri and apart from having far less people, there wasn’t any “pop up stalls” along the street! I wonder if they only open at weekends
Me gustas mucho tus video gracias y gracias a ti tambien 😊😊👌😊😊
Beautiful walk !!! And I didn't see one piece of litter on the ground...A great inspirational nation...the Japanese..
Sugamo is one of my favorite places in Tokyo--it's so chill. I had to do some research on the vending-machine wizardry that let you buy a bottle of green tea with just your voice! 😉
i like your video , 😀
lindo video
awesome
Rambalac, I love the dynamic range in your videos.
In DaVinci, how much do you typically shadow boost and reduce the highlights? I find +15 and -15 respectively is ideal overall.
this looks like such a fun place to get lost at
Tokya verry nice
Whenever you walked upon a vending machine I noticed you often go for the same brand 😆. Btw, of all your videos I've watched, I don't think I've ever seen anyone probably chilling in their own balcony. I know that's what I would do, just enjoying a cup of coffee and enjoying the vibe around me
Tokyo market👍
Thank you for the video, I like the daytime walks just as much as your night walks. I have always wanted to ask a question, how often do you get people upset about you filming in public, or do they care? Do you have any fun stories about someone questioning you filming?
Never had. Some places are not ok to film, but usually there is a sign.
Nice video! I hope that one day my videos will be as good as yours! 🎉
Love this, love all of your content! Are you thinking of going back to Osaka at anytime ? ❤️
Yeah, on sakura season, also for Kyoto
@@Rambalac thank you !🤗
I may be get to Osaka this weekend
@@Rambalac thank you very much for this ! ❤️
When did those S.Ride taxis show up?
36:50 That is one large gaijin.
37:20 Little dog getting all riled up.
Um...no, I've seen bigger. But his size worth a comment regardless
Take care man

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
👍👍👌👌
17:00 whenever you go to get the drink I get scared and hope you don't scratch the watch glass in the opening under the machine 😱 🥴 😂 😂
The glass has sapphire layer.
19:40 Why is there a car? How did it get there? Does that thing really fit through that narrow street?
I'm confused...
It's a 'kei van', a classification of vehicle with a smaller engine. The Japanese government offers tax concessions on kei vehicles, in an effort to reduce urban air pollution (and for other reasons). However, these kei (small) cars and vans are also very popular in Japan because they are small enough to fit down those narrow streets.
Wait wha! How did the vending machine give you tea without you touching it and by just saying a few words?!?
😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹
7:10 hair on sale
7:32 dog in baby cart
14:03 glitch in the matrix, motorbike with 2 front wheels
Rambalac Come back to do infinite live
✌
Can someone explain to me why there are a bunch of filled water bottles in the street at 32:20 ?
Edit: Apparently this is the reason
"Known as ‘nekoyoke’ (cat repellants), the bottles are apparently there to stop cats from doing their business. The prevailing idea is that light would break through the water and act as a mirror or kaleidoscope, which would in turn scare away cats.
Although there’s little scientific evidence for this, the practice allegedly spread as far as Europe in the ’80s, but (unsurprisingly) lost popularity after that. We can't exactly testify to its success rate, but it could just double as a novel way to recycle those mountains of PET bottles. "
You are walking too fast so I felt a headache and cannot see some food stalls sell things and price.
❤😂👏👍
Seems like after all they won't drop that mass masking, ever.
They're still wearing masks?
@@sinodeestanho only if they were sick
@@owen755 Not true & you know it.
・Even before COVID, it was common in Japan to wear a mask to prevent influenza and colds (especially in winter).
・Since cedar pollen scatters from February to April, many people wear masks because of pollen allergies.
・The government recently started announcing that masks are not required outdoors. However, there are many people who feel a contradiction between the announcement and the past COVID-19 countermeasures and wear a mask on their own judgment.
Nice 😋
